I'm really glad I found this hidden gem! Starting with the gameplay, I enjoyed it a lot, it reminded me of Exploding Kittens.
I honestly think this is one of the best intros I've seen so far during the jam.
Just one small suggestion: sometimes it was hard to tell when it was my turn. I don't think the camera angle and the red button alone are enough to communicate it clearly. A bit more UI feedback would make it much easier to follow.
I'd love to see this game polished even further, especially with some improvements to the art.
Seriously, great presentation overall, and congratulations!
P.S. The audio is phenomenal you can really tell a lot of care and effort went into it.
Thank you so much for playing our game and for sharing such detailed feedback!
We're really happy you enjoyed the visuals, setting, and the core concept. We also agree with your feedback about the projectiles: the idea was to add a small "action" element to the gameplay, but we understand that it can make some situations harder to read. It's something we're already looking into improving after the jam ratings.
Thanks again for taking the time to play and for appreciating what we managed to create in such a short timeframe. Your feedback is really valuable to us!
Thank you so much for playing our game and for the amazing review! Knowing that you enjoyed the experience and that you considered it a 5/5 despite the issues you encountered means a lot to us.
We're really grateful for your feedback, and we'll definitely use it to improve the game after the jam ratings.
Thanks again for your support and for taking the time to play our game. We hope you'll enjoy whatever we make next!
Thank you so much for playing our game and for leaving such a thoughtful comment!
We're really happy you enjoyed the puzzles and that the connection to the theme stood out to you. Hearing that some of the puzzles made you stop and think is exactly what we were hoping for!
And... poor Pete and Pete 2 馃槶 We'll make sure to remember them. You're actually the first person to really focus on the child who needs to be woken up... and here the plot thickens! dan dan, the dream is starting to collapse, and it raises the question: what is really happening to Pete?
Thanks again for your kind words and encouragement. We're already working on improving the game after the jam ratings, and we hope you'll enjoy whatever we make next too!
A really original idea compared to the other games I've played so far. I especially loved the feedback when grabbing the civilians to rescue, it feels really juicy and makes the gameplay very satisfying.
The puzzle concept is clever and fun to play through. Creativity definitely wasn't lacking in this project!
P.S. I really enjoyed the credits scene as well. 馃槈
Thank you so much for playing and for the valuable feedback! We're really glad you enjoyed the puzzles. We totally understand your point about the character always facing the camera, it can definitely create some disorientation, and we'll keep this in mind while polishing the experience.
After the voting period, we'll release a small update with improvements and fixes based on the feedback we received from the community. Thanks again for taking the time to play our game!
Thank you so much for playing and for the valuable feedback! We totally agree. Unfortunately, we didn't manage to include a dedicated tutorial during the Jam, but we're already working on it. After the voting period, we'll release a small update based on your feedback and the suggestions from the community!
The core mechanic is really interesting and fits the theme very well. I would probably add at least a short description of the game's concept and the controls on the itch.io page, as it would help players understand the idea more quickly. I also really liked the setting it has a nice atmosphere.
Great job!
First of all, huge congratulations on the 2D animations, they're incredibly well done! The animation quality is excellent, and the timing of each frame matches the hit feedback perfectly, making every punch feel really satisfying.
The only thing I probably would have added is a twist to the core boxing gameplay, perhaps something tied to the Countdown theme to make it feel a bit more unique.
Overall, it's a simple game, but it's executed really well, especially considering it was made during such a short game jam. Great job!
First of all, congratulations on submitting your game on time! I also think it was a great choice to take a well-known game like Flappy Bird and add a twist to its core gameplay that fits the jam's theme.
From an artistic perspective, I probably would have tried to make the game feel a bit more original. That said, while the visuals and audio don't particularly stand out, they're both well polished, which is definitely not something to take for granted in a game jam.
Overall, congratulations, and well done! 馃帀
Thank you so much! We're really glad you liked the idea and the art style.
That's exactly what we're planning to do! We're already collecting all the feedback we've received, and once the GMTK Jam voting period is over, we'll be working on a polished update with improvements and new features. Stay tuned!
Thanks a lot for the valuable feedback and for taking the time to play our game! As for the high number of remaining steps, that was intentional. We wanted to be generous with the step limit and avoid adding another layer of difficulty, so that everyone could comfortably reach the end of the experience.
We're already collecting all the feedback we've received and we're planning a big update once the GMTK Jam voting period is over. So yes, we're really happy to hear you're interested stay tuned!
For your first game jam, congratulations! It's not easy to design and balance a game like this with such a limited amount of time.
I really enjoyed the music it added a lot to the atmosphere and immersion. Another feature I thought was very well designed (it could use a bit more polish, but it already works well!) is the daily journal and being able to go back and review the events from previous days.
Thank you so much for the precious feedback! We really appreciate you taking the time to play and share your thoughts with us.
We are already aware of some of these issues and we鈥檙e planning to work on improving the game once the Jam voting period is over. Adding more polish, improving the overall experience, and addressing things like the checkpoint system are definitely among our goals.
We鈥檙e really happy you enjoyed the concept and the amount of effort we put into the game. Thanks again for your support! :3
Hey guys, the music is awesome! I have to admit, I caught myself dancing a few times while playing. 馃槀
Overall, the game is really fun and well put together. My only suggestion would be to add a small UI pop-up or notification letting players know they can level up once they've earned enough points to spend. I went through several rounds without realizing I could upgrade and ended up fighting at level 1 the whole time! 馃槄
Other than that, congratulations, and great job!
Technically, this is one of the most impressive games I've played. A setting like this really depends on strong art and sound design to create immersion, and I think you absolutely nailed both.
My only criticism is that the countdown theme tends to fade into the background once you're in the core gameplay loop. Other than that, this is an outstanding entry.
Great job!
Really interesting idea! With a bit more polish, I think this could turn into a really great little game.My only piece of feedback is about the music in the main menu. It can be quite unpleasant, especially if you're playing with headphones.
Other than that, congratulations to the whole team, and great job!
Really fun game! I love how you incorporated the countdown theme into the core gameplay mechanics. We took a similar approach in our own game, so I was really happy to see someone interpret the same idea from a different perspective.
The puzzles were really satisfying to solve.
One small issue I noticed: in some cases, after respawning, the little character falls into the void.
Great job!
