i'm spending my waiting-time developing everything else my games needs (3D waifu battle arena with many jiggle physics..), hoping this drops soon so i can replace the basic csg mess i have currently xD

it's still September, so hopefully we hear something this month lol.

I'm dying to get my hands on this, because it's a massive improvement to the alternatives. basic csgcombiners just aint cutting it, and exporting/importing from trenchbroom/blender/others is annoying.

it appears he's designed this from the perspective of someone who has been through this pain.

oh that's good to know!

good luck to you o7

i was also concerned. i hope everything is going alright

yeah i was really tired when i wrote that lol.

also, sometimes i do export to blender. some of the whiteboxing i do i'll just slap that hoe in blender and make a few changes, check the UV, export and import back into godot

with what i see in the video, this needs to be in the engine

same

agreed. i've have this tab open for about 2 weeks just refreshing in between every break i get lol. so tired of exporting to blender.

the automatic UV's while building, and having access to the UV map will be nice. plus there are a lot of shapes that are still a pain to make with csg's in the combiners, still. i also love that staircase tool that can automatically make the ramp. and you can extrude, inset, etc.. very excited.

exactly :)

lol yea i get ya

for my purposes Unibuilder looks to be millions of miles better than godot's built in csg workflow. i've done it over and over in many projects and it's such a pain

btw im not the one who disliked your comment, i realize unibuilder might be more than what some people need, but MOST people will want what unibuilder has to offer compared to godots csg.

can't wait to try unibuilder :)

same. i have a ton of low poly points of interests to make on my map (a bunch of random buildings that need to be unique, like scrap yard, mechanic shop..) and i figured this would be nice to use to build each one in

the video is like 5 days old and it's only the 3rd, so he might just be cooking behind the scenes right now, making sure everything is working. stable.

at least that is what we are all hoping  :)

at the end of the video he says it will be released shortly. can't come fast enough :)

same, same
