You can tell something is terribly wrong on the ship in the later parts of Lefevon's entries (even though he doesn't pick up on it), even before he really loses it. I did pick up on the meals taking longer to be prepared and thought 'oh they're eating each other aren't they', reached the middle of Iliya's personal  journal and went 'oh yuuup they sure are'. Iliya's entries in the captain's log versus his actual personal journal are such a contrast. I like how unreliable everything is in this, even if Iliya's recollections of ship life seem more grounded than Lefevon. This is just a really good book and the formatting enhances it, it has that crunchy ass university pdf formatting complete with discussion questions but it's a full blown epistolary novel, complete with unsolved mysteries. I like that this is set in a world not our own and all the rich hints at it but it feels like something that happened here on Earth. Reminded me a bit of reading about the Franklin Expedition as a child.

this was a really good game. the second case really stuck out to me specifically. They're always more concerned about potential children more than they are about you, specifically. your health and happiness don't matter in the face of imaginary children. I really enjoyed playing it and even though I haven't experienced the Chicken Fillet Roll itself the whole "go to the deli for a specific lunch every day" experience is familiar. As is the sad horror of How Expensive The Food Is. And the hurt realization that yes, you could have gotten the combo or whatever and saved money.

I loved this. Bao is really pathetic and upsetting but I can't help but sympathize with her because the story is from her perspective. Also the art is beautiful.

huge fan of the fact that no matter how hard you try there is only one real ending. I thought there was only one ending, then I read the design book (huge fan of that too by the way, thank you for making it!) I discovered the second 'resist' ending, but it doesn't really change anything. You can't stop Bao from being who she is.
