Hi everyone! As the developer of OrbitIdleSim, I’m working hard on the next phases of the game but have hit a wall with the audio. I am not a musician or a sound designer, and I have never handled game audio before. I managed to put together a basic ambient beat, but the game really needs professional sound assets and a polished soundtrack to bring the space chaos to life. If any sound designers or musicians are looking to collaborate, gain experience, or donate some sci-fi sound assets to the project, I would be incredibly grateful!

About the Project:

Genre: Clicker / Physics Simulation / Incremental Space Game The Vibe: Sci-Fi, deep space, orbital physics

Current Progress: The core gravity physics engine is completely finished. I am currently working on adding UI polish, menus, and expanding the economy system.

What I need help with: Ambient Tracks: Immersive, spacey background music.

SFX: Sound effects for orbital mechanics, asteroid clicks, and collision states.

You will receive full credit in the game and on the itch.io page for your work. If you are interested, please reply directly to this thread or let me know the best way to contact you!

  1. Gameplay & Balance: How does the game feel to play? Do you have any suggestions for mechanics, difficulty, or overall balance?

  2. Performance & Bugs: Is the game running smoothly on your device? If you hit any lag, frame rate dips, or bugs, please comment with a description of the issue along with your system specs.

  3. General Impressions: Did you have fun? What was your favorite (or least favorite) part?

Thank you so much for playing and taking the time to share your feedback!

I just updated the page settings and scaled the game window down to fit standard browsers better. It should now run great right out of the box. If anyone else runs into any UI scaling issues, please let me know!

“Thanks for the feedback! The UI is designed to scale with full-screen mode, so it might appear too small if the browser window is minimized to help with this, I have just added a dedicated full-screen button to the game. You can also press the Escape (Esc) key at any time to exit full screen. Let me know if this helps make it more readable for you!”
