Henyo! First of all, thanks so much for getting me to try out your game, it has been my favourite demo so  far! You have introduced me to a new genre of game that I've never tried before which is movement shooters. There are a couple comments I do have about it but please don't be discouraged, I hope it helps you improve and move forward with development.

  • Character creation; Camera could be faster; either have a drag mouse to rotate or speed up the button movements so it's easier to view the character from all sides instead of waiting around for it to rotate fully.
  • Movement shooter not really great for claustrophobic areas (starting levels), if you wanna demonstrate the movement should note it during a more open level for players to try it out when you show the prompt.
  • NPC maybe could be invulnerable if important to shop or quest etc. I killed the shopkeeper immediately since it was a game where the environment was hostile to the player.
  • Diagonal movement seems faster than cardinal directions, not sure if that was on purpose.
  • Amazing job at the level designs, they left me uneasy at the very high ledges and it I was so tense from the fear of falling.
  • I'm impressed with the amount of levels you have managed to make for the demo, each one feels different and they never overstay their welcome or feel repeated. The environments could be bare bones at times and spacious without much reason but I think it's ok for a movement shooter since you're supposed to keep moving.
  • Death screen comments are funny "ABH; Always be hoppin", the humor is really good.
  • Most of the guns feel great but a possible stabilization could help with the sniper scope.

Overall very well done, the creatures had distinct silhouettes so it was easy to tell them apart from each other. It's a very impressive vertical slice for the game that you are developing, it's huge and I can't wait to see more from you. Best of luck!

Henyo! Thank you for reaching out to me to try out your game!

It was my first ever bullet  heaven and it was an interesting experience, especially when you just need to survive for a time limit. I do have a couple of comments regarding it but please don't be discouraged, I hope they would help in progressing and improving your quality of life for the game.

Mini tutorial would be nice if you would like players to jump in and playtest mid game to help players get up to speed on things.

Instructions  on what to do for the levels would be good since the dinosaur level has new mechanics that weren't really explained in terms of matching the colour of the dinosaur's "aura" to the colour of the mushrooms.

Game might be too heavy when there is too many NPCs spawning which had lead to the game lagging and eventually crashing.

Overall I really love the art of your game, some scaling of the animals seem weird but that might just be because I'm not too sure of the context of the story since I started at the levels you needed help playtesting. I'll try to advance further into the levels when I've got some spare time but apologies if this VOD wasn't as much as you expected c':

Henyoo!!! Thank you letting us try your game for feedback quest!

Character designs drew me in so much! Didn't really know what I was getting into but it was pretty easy to mess around and figure it out. However, an intro instruction would definitely be helpful in this case so the players know how to navigate around the tools and what they can do etc. Overall well done with the demo. Looking forward to how this game progresses.

First off, thank you so much for reaching out to me to play this adorable cozy city-builder! Even if it's still at the early stages of development, I can see that the devs are very passionate about this project and jumps into fixing as much as they can whenever an issue pops up. There are some issues here and there but it is expected for a game at this stage, if there are anymore questions please feel free to reach out and I'd gladly help in any capacity I can.

  • Tutorial UI speech bubble merging with the instruction texts occasionally, could possibly add an opacity highlight for the text box so it's still legible. alternatively have a tighter constraint/boundary on the size of the text box so it doesn't intersect with the white highlight on the speech bubble.
  • Objects disappearing from the environment when I want to place them, possibly from an invalid area? Would be nice to have a visual aid for where you can or can not place items (Two Point Hospital is a good reference)
  • Object snapping feels inconsistent. It's on a grid but too far away from the other objects, and can't place things immediately next to each other.  An opposite issue is also objects that you don't want to be intersected, intersects into each other; example would be the house and grass patch. Not sure if it's possible to also disable snapping so players can place / intersect objects based on how they want to build their city?

The creatures in the game are absolutely adorable, I would love to see what other ways we can interact with them in the future! I love the concept of a city builder with animal-like creatures in them. Please don't get discouraged by the notes I've given, it's a fairly well done demo to get the idea of the game across.

Props to making a press kit for the game as well for content creators to use! This is the first game I've seen on Feedback Quest that has done that. Keep up the good work and I would love to see more from your game!

Henyo! I'm Confused Seaweed, started out with this persona as a loophole to stream games publicly. I was formally a AAA game dev for about half a decade before I recently decided to take the leap to join indie studios, as a project manager focusing more on the art team to provide support and promoting a better work environment for them.

I started streaming a couple years back but only recently started taking it a bit more seriously and making an effort to stream at least once a week! I play a variety of games, except puzzle games (i refuse to use my brain off work hehe). Mostly enjoy anything that is either cozy or gory, a very wide spectrum. That being said, I am terribad with jump scares and yet I have a redeem for my viewers to put me through the exact same thing I hate for their entertainment.

I currently only stream on Twitch: https://www.twitch.tv/confusedseaweed

I have a Twitter but am very bad with keeping up on social media: https://twitter.com/ConfusedSeaweed

Recently created a Youtube account, but it's so baby fresh right now, will eventually be uploading clips as Youtube shorts! www.youtube.com/@ConfusedSeaweed
