Does simply grabbing the beehive work? You can use a half hook to climb the tree to reach it. If climbing is too hard, you can maybe build a staircase out of boxes or something. Try not to drop or hit the hive, or you will anger the bees. A radiation suit or a fireproof suit will protect you from bee attack.

Harvest as soon as you see the option.

I recommend saving beforehand as the plants yield a return of 1-3 chosen at random, so you can reload a save if you aren't satisfied with your harvest, for example planting 10 potatoes and getting 10 back. This can also save you from those rare times when you receive no yield from a plant at all; I have had that happen with sugar cane, so there is a non-zero chance of that happening with other plants.

These planks are now pried off with the crowbar.

1. Hold the crowbar.

2. Right click on the plank.

3. Look at the crowbar and mash the left mouse button until the plank comes off.
