So, yeah...I made myself a bee box But, uh, how do you actually get a beehive? Do you just have to be super lucky on where it spawns or something? I found one but it's seemingly impossible to grab, I can't even use the hook in any way.

Bonus: Nothing to do with beehives, but...is there a way to get rid of coughing or am I just stuck with it for all eternity? lol

beehives spawn randomly up in trees, i'm yet to see one in game myself however

also coughing is caused by being near radioactive things without a hazmat suit and decreases your max health, you need to buy and use heavy meds to restore it which also stops the coughing

yeah I know where and how beehives spawn, but my problem is getting them...hook doesn't work, gravity gun doesn't work...nothing works.

Does simply grabbing the beehive work? You can use a half hook to climb the tree to reach it. If climbing is too hard, you can maybe build a staircase out of boxes or something. Try not to drop or hit the hive, or you will anger the bees. A radiation suit or a fireproof suit will protect you from bee attack.
