Hey! Thank you so much for playing the game! Canny's supposed to be a bit toxic, he-he. Pressing enter will let you read next dialogue quotes.

Jawebreakers might indeed be annoying, though they take damage, if you'd like to give the game a second try, I would suggest buying a better weapon from a candy shop (either a dagger, ice cream or candy cross).

Thank you, I'll check this video and then try to finish the game myself!

Thank you for your feedback! My fault the game turned out to be rather unintuitive :( Still, if you'd like to give it a try, here are some tips: wasd — movement, mouse roll — change active item, e — reading a book (could only be done if nearby light is on), LMB to use the active item, active items: torch — turns candles on, vodka — heals you (works only if you are injured), thurible — kills nearby bats and imps, chalk — draws a circle that makes you invisible to monsters.

Here's mine: /jam/scream-jam-2025/rate/3958904 (see the game page for controls). Gonna check yours soon!

I'm sorry to hear that :( I guess that I should made some kind of an in-game tutorial in the future. In case you would like to give it a second try: wasd — controls, mouse roll — change active item, e — reading a book (could only be done if nearby light is on), LMB to use the active item, active items: torch — turns candles on, vodka — heals you (works only if you are injured), thurible — kills nearby bats and imps, chalk — draws a circle that makes you invisible to monsters.

Thank you very much for your detailed review! I guess that the game turned out to be too difficult (and maybe even a bit tedious at some moments), the main reason for that is that I spent most of the time working with code and sprites, so I didn't manage to balance it (the same is with sounds and music -- didn't make them in time). Still I'm happy that the whole concept of the game seemed to be interesting, I'm going to rework it later, so criticism and constructive feedback are always appreciated!

Hi! Check out mine: /jam/scream-jam-2025/rate/3958904

The visuals and sounds are great, loved the game! However, even with the lowest value set for mouse sensitivity it felt too high, do not know what could be the reason for that

Thank you for playing! This book requires you to type "3" three times, "4" four times etc. However, this particular book has a bug in the browser version of the game, sometimes digits simply are not typed, refreshing the page helps with it. Hope that I'll manage to fix it and add in-game tips/tutorial, as well as sounds and music!

Hi! Here's a game about a priest in a church full of monsters, hope that you'll like it!

Thank you for your feedback! I'll create an in-game tutorial in the future updates, some sounds and music will be added too!

Thank you for playing and for your feedback! I'm glad that you liked the visuals, since a lot of time was dedicated to its creation!

Hi! Check out this one:

Игра в лучших традициях русского геймдева (Гульман, Месть боксёра и т. д.)

Loved the music and the visuals, however, it takes some time to understand the very goal of the game, some tips would be good

Hi! Hope you'll like this one!

A fun game to play! Although I haven't discovered the twist on the first run, the whole concept of creepypasta becoming true was good!

It's probably not the game one might expect to see in this jam, but definitely the game all of us deserved

Hi! Hope you'll give it a try!

Hi! I've made a pixel game about an exorcist in a church. To succeed you need to type the symbols from books lying around. There are some items that might help you keep away the monsters. Hope that you'll enjoy it!

Thank you for playing! I'll try to polish it after the jam, so it would become more enjoyable and easy to progress over nights!

Although I spent most of the time bouncing off the walls (the controls are a bit difficult to get used to), I must admit that the soundtrack is really great.

The sound design is as good as the visuals, a simple and fun game to play!

Arm stealing reminded me of the "Cutting Cards" episode from Tales from the Crypt

Thank you for playing! I'll try to rework the game after the jam and make it less difficult and more intuitive

Thank you for playing! I guess that many aspects of the game (including typings spaces) should be made way more intuitive, still I'm glad that you enjoyed the visual part
