Hi! Thank you very much for reading it! :)

As in good osr tradition I didn’t prepare a plot but a complex situation for the players to navigate. They can fully ignore the conflict and just wander around for treasure troves and this would be a perfectly acceptable way to play.

Yet I think some of the toys sprinkled around here will sparkle the player interest (or greed): first the monks rewards that push the players in conflict with the Keepers, second the army of scarecrows that could really tip the balance of power (and possibly constitute a third way for those ruthless players that would wish to carve out of the valley their own domain), third the situation timer will slowly turn the tide so that, even if players ignore the thing, somewhere in the future an army of plant things will roam the world.

Actually there isn’t really a good ending planned. If the players  manage to fully grok the situation they could invest time and  try to leverage diplomacy to get the monks and keepers to talk it out (with Brudio getting in the way) and probably will manage to get the monks to leave. Striking a bargain with Aplucon I think would be a last resort: a few human sacrifices in exchange for many spared lives and a plentiful valley… is this a winning deal?

Ciao, I’ll share my thoughts:

level 1 is expected to be easier than level 2 in which difficulty spikes sharply.

I played it with a system of mine with 4 characters roughly equivalent to lvl1 for a generic osr and they managed to explore all the complex in 2 sessions, the group was badly mangled and one of them died but they were very clever and cautious, and avoided most of the dangerous enemies (but also most of the treasures).

I would say maybe lvl1-4 is good, but much is dependant on the number of creatures roller on the random encounters.

Also the amount of treasure is around 1k gp, which for a deluxe version I considered boosting it to around 1.5k

Hope I helped!

yeah, now that you made me notice I could have placed the numbers inside the rooms and made it clearer (i think arrows would have caused additional clutter).

What do you mean with the limited senses? The sluggoth not being able to see?

Thanks for the review by the way and be sure to tell me how it plays out if you do try it :)

Ciao! yes, I made it with a short campaign in mind even if it’s a lightweight game :)

Many thanks! I had to compromise between the information density and the font size and I recognise the font was left a bit on the small side (especially the italic) … I hope it’s not impacting legibility too much.

I’ll surely provide the unlabelled maps in the download files at the first occasion!

thanks, very kind! Took a load of time to make the cover (in powerpoint!)

Segnalo errore nella scheda del personaggio (Destrezza al posto di Mente) e la mancanza della spiegazione di Raggi Separati per i Trucchetti di danno. Segnalo anche le sagome grigie intorno ai riquadri verdi di approfondimento.

Many thanks! ;)

Hey! I liked very much your game and decided to reformat it as an A5 document, reworked the presentation and changed the rules (trying to keep the same structure and spirit). I hope to not have been too rough with the work and hope you like it!

This version is untested, so i might be unaware of a better balancing, Aether economy or structural limits.
