so the reason from what i can tell with the way the physics is working why you go the wrong way is the build up of momentum is faster then the friction can handle. Like slamming on the gas at a red light and the wheels spin and you start sliding.


As for the jump or "up" i am still looking for a way but mainly I think i need to just play around with the numbers more.

i had a blast learning about the physics in game maker for this, sadly it took up a lot of my dev time and limited what i was able to accomplish.

I plan to continue working on this after a break. i cant wait to get back to it and see what feedback i get as i continue moving forward with this project of mine and reveal the more unique aspects of it in the future

this is ment to be the first area of a large expansive game. the gamejam is just the beginning.
