2.0 is a game-changer. I love the graphics update and all the other features added.

I cannot wait to see where this goes!

Hello,

In a situation where you have 2 that are the same, you may choose which one to roll against.

If you have any other questions, please feel free to ask!

Thank you,

Alec D. Beck

Hello,

Thanks for checking the game out! When debating, you roll against the Critter or Creatures highest attribute with the same attribute, needing to exceed 2 + the attribute bonus for Critters and 3 + the attribute bonus for Creatures.

For example, you are attempting to debate a Simple Skink (a Critter). For this scenario, let us say they have a Sympathy of +2, an Empathy of -1, and an Apathy of +1. To debate them, you must roll your Sympathy against theirs, exceeding 2 + their Sympathy bonus (or 4 in this instance). If you are able to do this successfully 3 times before failing 3 times, they will become your friend, and you can move on from there.

I hope this cleared up the confusion and I will add clarification to that section of the game in my next update.

If you have any more questions please feel free to ask!

Thank you,

Alec D. Beck

Copy that.

Thank you for the response!

Here is the console: https://ctjs.itch.io/whimtale.  The game of mine I am referring to is the SKOGA game you can find on my profile. I have some ideas on how to fit it into the theme of "IV. you are the villan," as well as reworkings throughout that I would like to do.

Let me know what you think! If this game does not fit, I have a few ideas that I could do instead.

I have just completed a have and submitted it to the Brackeys Game Jam 2026.2. I am unsure what place it will end at in the rankings.

The game is built in a fantasy console called Whimtale, which emulates original GB mechanics with Atari 2600 style graphics (8X8 sprites).

I wanted to check in to see if this could work for this jam.

Thanks for checking it out! Looking into quest markers now. There are a few ways I could I think it can be acomplished.

Thanks for playing! I've had a few people mention the font, so that has just been corrected!

This is a really good start. I would love to see and expanded roster of playable characters (perhaps unlockable via achievements). Additionally, I think the UI needs some refining.

I really enjoyed my time playing this game, and will most likely to revisit it every so often after this jam.

This was a neat little game. I would like to see the scope expanded to include neighbouring nations. Additionally, I did think the music was a tad repetitive.

I quite enjoyed it and look forward to seeing where this goes. Super repayable, nice job.

Thanks for the quick response! We will go ahead and drop our game in here and check out what other people have posted!

Can we submit a game that we made before the start of the Jam? We have a precision platformer that we made recently and would love feedback from others before continuing development.

Nice.

Fantastic.

(1 edit)

This, much like the rest of your music, is fantastic. I have used it in a precision platformer I made called ATOMANCER: XENO-RECON. I have credited you in the description of the game. Again, these tracks are amazing, best $10 I have ever spent.

We were wondering if we are able to submit a previous game of ours, or is this Jam exclusively for new content.

Thank you!

Thank you so much for your input! We appreciate the time you took to playtest are game and  will take a detailed look at the issues you faced. We had considered a few things that may rectify these issues and are deciding wheter or not to add them to v0.0.2. These are: A Ship Advancement Table, Additional Room Contents, Repairing your Ship with the Repair Roll, and Detailing and numbering the different FAILURE_STATES to each have a RECOVERY_FUNCTION (a small dungeon that would bring you back to play).

We will add the "Scope" of the game at the beginning, since it is intended to be somewhat long form. We may also lower the required XP for leveling up and tie the chance to get the Cooridates to the Mother Planet to a HACK roll at the end of every Data-Station. We will take a look at DR's; that, in our opinion needs the most playtesting. If you have any suggestions for DR, we would love to hear them. Finally, we will make it more explicit that ship weapons cost energy and detail what happens when you run out (perhaps another FAILURE_STATE).

We will go ahead and add you under the Principle Playtesters section in the credits.

Thank you again!
