Playing as a mimic that eats stuff to get new attacks is a fun idea. The dungeon was a bit dark for me but I liked it!

Super polished! Placing tiles and watching the island grow is really relaxing. Looks great too.

Love the idea of the grey town slowly getting color as Pip makes friends. Really cute take on "you start with nothing". Pip moves a bit slow though.

Watching the little named blobs wander around and multiply was fun, felt like a tiny WorldBox. Clean art too. Nice one!

Thank you so much! Happy you liked the sound design :)

Thanks a lot! Really glad the music worked for you. Gonna check out Moncraft too!

The watercolor look is gorgeous, and soaking up paint to hide is such a fun idea. Loved that the Seeker evolves too. Nice work!

Loved the BIOS intro, and getting color and sound only when you hit Prism was a really cool touch. Nice work!

Nice idea with the museum and the society evolving. Got a bit lost on my first run tbh, a quick tutorial would help. Thanks for playing mine!

Thanks a lot for playing all the way to the sandbox! Glad it felt relaxing. Fair point on the fun side: next time I'd give the player more to do between generations. I'll check out The sensible choice too!

Hi, thanks for playing! A few tips to get the most out of From Nothing:

  • Start with World 1. Click to place a Spark, then a Vent next to it so the first cells have food.
  • You never control the cells. You change the world (food, hunters, cold, coral) and natural selection decides which traits survive.
  • Use Feed (3 per generation) to drop food next to the cells you want to multiply. That's artificial selection in your hands.
  • Hover a cell to see its genes. The game runs at 2x by default; press F to change the speed.
  • Turn the sound on: the music grows with your population.

Finish all five worlds to unlock Free Evolution, a sandbox with every tool. I'd love to hear which world you liked most!
