Hi! Thanks for bringing this up. Ren'Py usually resolves duplicate labels silently on Windows distributions, which is why it passed our testing suite without issue. However, strict runtime environments and non-Windows builds do flag it as a duplicate AST entry.
It’s a simple fix and will be cleaned up in the next patch. Appreciate the heads up!
Hello, please don't get me wrong. I never said "all Android users are kids." I simply mentioned that most of the people reaching out to me for an Android version happen to be minors. I should have clarified that this is just what I've been seeing in my Tumblr inbox, so that's on me.
Additionally, as I've mentioned on my blog before, I want Divine Possession to be a free game for everyone to enjoy. Charging for it would prevent at least half of the player base from trying it due to financial limitations. The most we will ever do is potentially launch a donation campaign. This is a project meant for enjoyment, not profit-a chance for you to take a break from daily life and experience the story.
Lastly, to clear up any confusion: I never said all Android users are kids, nor that an iOS version is for Ipad/Iphone. Many younger players don't own PCs, laptops, or MacBooks, which is why mobile requests come up so often. While a native iOS version isn't available on iPhone or iPad, if you are on Android and want to play, there are several emulators you can set up in just a few minutes.
I hope this helps clarify my point of view. I never intended to shame anyone for using Android!
did you extract the zip file? if not find the file you downloaded-right click-extract- then choose where the extracted file should be placed. if you have anymore questions feel free to ask here or on my personal tumblr blog https://www.tumblr.com/blog/jazzainab
Hello! I'm reaching out after launching the new season of my game to ask a quick question about indexing.
I understand indexing takes time and the support team is busy, so I appreciate your help! My project complies with all itch.io rules, and I'm already a verified creator—our demo alone reached over 17k downloads.
Since publishing yesterday, the new season has seen strong engagement with over 300 views and 200 downloads.
The main reason I'm reaching out is that I've noticed many newly uploaded AI-generated titles in the Visual Novel tag getting indexed almost instantly, while human-made projects with established traffic seem to get caught in a manual review queue. I completely understand if automated filters get confused by the high volume of submissions, but I wanted to make sure everything looks right on my end.
I don't mind waiting for standard search indexing, but could you clarify if this review delay also prevents the game from appearing on the main browse/category pages ? or would it only be shown if it got the traffic while it's in the recently uploaded page?
also we want to add some translated versions later. is the game going to have to be reindexed after updating?
Thanks so much for your time and for all your hard work!
