Glad you enjoyed the game! when I was testing it without adding a max objects amount, I was focusing on performance and wasnt thinking about combo since I added that later haha. Really though this game wasnt gonna have an exploit 😭. Anyways, thank you for playing!
As i've mentioned in one of my other replies: The compass IS equipped by default and it's the button to suck in the coins. Also the GREED moves up as you use the "compass" to pull coins towards you. I understand that It was very confusing, and will definitely make a polished version in future!
Yeah the depositing mechanic was poorly explained. you have to press O/X while standing on top of the "VOID" just below the chest spawn in the central area.
Would have loved to have more time to polish the game and give better player feedback but thats just how Jams go haha.
Thank you so much for the amount of feedback given! A few people have mentioned that they "couldn't find the compass" ,which is fair as I haven't given a great explanation. The compass IS equipped by default and it is the button you press to pull the coins towards you. And I understand that the game is "janky" with poor player feedback and not having much SFX and Particles.
I have learned a lot making this game in terms of game design and Pico 8 itself so you will definitely see more and better Pico 8 games from me.
