The How to play card reads well in one pass, and the little floor plan with the NO DOOR wall explains the door rule faster than the sentence does. One small thing in the itch embed on a laptop: today's Steady case shows six clues and then "3 more clues below", so it would be easy to start working the grid before noticing the last three. A count in the panel header, like "Clues (9)", might catch that.

Next match: Shattered Glacier starts November 9 at 00:00 UTC (6pm US Central on November 8). 20 seats, AI tribes fill the empty ones, 30 days on a real map of Earth with the ice closing in from both poles. I make Last Thaw; it's in early access and I'm looking for people to test it. Register at https://lastthaw.com/matches?ref=itch
The goal card before puzzle 1 does a lot of work: the two ticks show "whole long side" without needing the text. The one I looked at twice was the bottom-left cross, where I wasn't sure if it meant Tate is too long for that edge or just not touching it. A two-word caption under each cross would settle it.

Until the tutorial lands, it might be worth making sure a new player's first five minutes end with one clear next goal and a timer already running, so they have a reason to come back. With real cooldowns, the moment someone closes the tab without knowing what they're waiting for is usually where you lose them.
