Expert work, loved the meowsynth in the cat area it was a nice touch

there's a walkthrough video linked in the game page!

no dont fix it i like being rich

I discovered a bug where if you click the crab at the end more than once it keeps giving you money over and over again (up till about 8 times)

im rich!!

I want to provide for all the needs of all the sea creatures no matter what but there's never enough supply to avoid sending some of them off sad

I beat it on normal mode, challenging and fun for the length. my strategy became switching between red and green unless briefly for a differently colored enemy lol

i just now realized this was my first ever platformer; yeah I probably should have thought of that, though the blocks disappearing from under you when they leave your view is a possible contributor

Loved this!! Immaculate aesthetics and art, it's giving dissociative / unmedicated vibes; also have to dig the ut/dr DNA in the character movement and shard indicators. Probably the best first game i've ever seen, you guys knocked it out of the park.

The thumbnail made this game unskippable

oh yeah that's the game mechanic. Stuff changes / disappears / reappears whenever you look away from it

Cool character designs and theming

i remember my pygame days

ty!

Publicly linking the blog article where I talk about every game from this jam so that it's easier to access. Also might do a retroactive ranking of last years' just for fun at some point

"Hello, peak department? You're never gonna believe this."

Is there anything after the "you made it" screen? neat game

Peak

I can't move even before doing the fold thing

In my top 5, hands down

Very cute non-overcomplicated game, the clock ticking sound kinda stresses me out a bit though. I'm stuck on getting the ladder to come down but I'll try again later

idk if my computer's broken but im not sure how to progress from here, WASD doesn't seem to be giving a response from what I can see

I'm having trouble entering the gameplay loop; after I pick my three cards it seemingly gets stuck on this screen. Am I missing something? Concept art looks really promising

Absolutely killed it with the retro and cozy feel, and the graphics / sound are top notch, especially considering there wasn't prior knowledge of the mystery theme. It feels shorter than what it was originally scoped out to be, but honestly I still walked away feeling like I got a full experience of someone's idea.

Sorry to hear. For future reference, would putting a motion sickness warning at the top of the description be helpful?

I love how it only takes 10 seconds for the police to materialize onto any murder scene, no matter the distance or context

I wonder if this guy likes horses

We are garageband

Thank you, that does mean a lot. I'm pretty stoked with the final product all things considered, but yeah I did kind of screw up with that 7th note placement; It's in the twilight area (where it's hard to see), so that's kinda my oversight. Love the fact that you enjoyed it though. Also, the ending isn't much you're missing out on, it just solidifies the events of the story via the computer's own text record

They are the two I have left. They feel like they're each gonna take like 3 times as long as everything else combined, I will update on how it goes

I didn't know there was a journal, I will look into that for round 2

WHAT DID YOU MAKE ;-;

It's that scratch game all over again

What a gangster

Really cute! Love the animations and the combination aspect is pretty fun. I'm seeing more potential in the application of the "mystery" theme though

Good art, I'm stuck trying to figure out the code to the suitcase though

ty! :>

no it was figuring out what to do with the script in the first place, like I have a python interpreter and I tried running it with that but I'm not sure if I need to download a library or something? cuz a window popped up and then disappeared, if I had to guess it's probably incompetence on my end or something

great visuals! tho my windows kinda glitched though and idk why

agreed this is a sick first jam game! great assets!
