Mod was updated to not require an .exe. No major changes in the current version.
For a fun update: I'm currently working on a hotbar you can access in-game to quickly change your volume, music, etc!

Launching an unofficial website and unofficial community discord for people to talk about their love for the game or to reach out to mod creators!
You can find the discord link on the main page: https://venus-dev.itch.io/venus-university
For sure! If you're interested, I've started the discord, which you can access here: https://discord.gg/mH5kWN6GF
Link is good for 30 days.
I'll make an official forum post but you can access venusmods.com for a link as well to the discord at any time.
Hosting an unofficial forum for mods here: https://venusmods.com/
It is in the very EARLY stages and isn't ready yet, so...don't expect it to fully work. I'll make updates today as I go along so it looks nicer/works properly. You might see it go down a couple of times while I am working on it.
Need to consider a LOT of things before opening it up. If you would like an account, please message me here.
Edit: :/ looking into the legal parts of this.
Edit 2: Might do no-image/community site or only for approved users. It sucks but not looking to get sued.
Edit 3: I think I'll spin up a discord server and use the site as a showcase for the mods that are worth showcasing. I think that is a safer bet.
Keep in mind, a lot of this is more "proof of concept" than "this is complete". My initial goal was just for inspiration for the main game but I did play a lot with the mods and they, for the most part, did pretty well.
I am going to pushing out a potential update soon to help with memory as there are some things that can be improved upon.
oh no, the mod is ruined! lol
I'll look at getting that fixed!
As far as an explanation on Story Memory:
It uses saved scene summaries plus important story facts, rather than relying only on the “liked/loved/hated” memories. Things like promises, revelations, and relationship developments can be carried forward. It doesn’t send the whole playthrough with every response. A local SQLite database helps find recent interactions with the characters in the scene and relevant older events using keyword matching. Only a selection gets added to the AI’s context. That does use extra tokens. The Story Memory section is capped at 18,000 characters, not tokens, and can be shorter depending on what’s relevant. That cap is just for this memory section, not the entire prompt.
SQLite memory: Basically, it gives the AI a searchable notebook for each playthrough. It takes saved scene summaries and important story facts, indexes them in a local SQLite database, and pulls relevant information into the prompt before generating a response.
It prioritizes recent interactions with the characters in the scene, plus older events matching keywords. The added context is capped at 18,000 characters so it doesn’t keep dumping the entire history into every request. Facts also track who knows what and whether something actually happened or was just a character’s claim.
The save is still the source of truth; SQLite is the lookup tool. Selected memories go to their AI provider with the normal prompt. It helps continuity, but doesn’t guarantee perfect recall.
Breakthrough: It’s a separate 0–100 meter for each character, built from the game’s interaction ratings: liked +10, loved +20, hated −15, and disliked unchanged. Positive gains cap at +20 per character per time slot.
At 100, the player can spend it during a scene reply and describe what they’re trying to accomplish. The meter resets to zero, and the next AI request gets a strong instruction to favor that direction if it makes sense.
Think “a really good roll with the AI as the DM.” There’s no fixed success percentage or forced relationship change. Personality, boundaries, and circumstances still matter; if the exact request can’t work, the prompt asks for meaningful progress instead.
It also saves what actually happened—not just what the player requested and feeds relevant outcomes into later scenes to help characters remember the moment. Failed or interrupted activations have refund handling.
Created a github with the changes: https://github.com/maestromods/maestros-community-mods
Hope these inspire you! Obviously, feel free to use what you like from the code!
Absolutely! Feel free to take, implement, reuse or modify any of the stuff I’ve gotten working on this project. Just to be clear: AI was heavily, heavily used for this but I can send you the stuff I have (or am working to get implemented) so there is a cohesive mod.
I will likely be pushing out a bug fix for the mods I posted soon as well!
Added my mods here. Your character is in one of the screenshots in the background. Hope that was okay! /post/17491451/view-in-topic

Please note: Unofficial Community Mod!
Hi! I'm Maestro!
Like you, I found out about this game and became extremely impressed for how immersive and wonderful the game was. I became interested in potentially adding more features to the game either as inspiration for the official game or just for the community to have fun with.
Some ground rules:
1) These are NOT supported by the developer and you should NOT direct questions their way or expect to receive support. Message me. I will get with you as soon as possible, either here or venus.modder@owgg.org (let me know here if you e-mail me!)
2) I cannot guarantee your save file will be safe. If you wish to use these mods, please use common sense and make a backup. Keep a separate installation with this mod.
3) I cannot guarantee I will be able to update the mods for future versions. I will do my best, however!
4) You should and will likely experience bugs!!! That said, I've had fun with the changes so far! Message me if you do and I will see about getting it fixed.
5) If you want official features, you should contribute to the developer's ko-fi account. https://ko-fi.com/venusdev
I should preface this that I am NOT a programmer. While I have a tech background in a different field and can code a bit, these changes were coded by AI. However, I did put at least a lot of time/credits into this for what it is worth, so I hope you enjoy.
Many of these mods are reliant on each other, so they have to be installed as a group of mods.
- Selectable starting-stat penalties for Brain, Body, and Heart.
- Ex-Girlfriend/dislike mode with a chosen or random character.

- Journals with NPC posts, player posts, avatars, comments, threaded replies, tagging, typing delays, and occasional NPC chiming-in. (This will likely use a lot of tokens and is a little jank!)
- Journal controls to delete posts or regenerate comments.
- Journal-to-scene continuity, so posts and replies can influence narration.

- Plot twists you can add during any playthrough.

- Breakthrough, a per-character meter that powers a strong, grounded narrative push. Build it up through positive interactions and breakthrough a bad situation or make a good one even better!

- Text-message regeneration that replaces the whole NPC reply in messages.

- Playthrough renaming.

- Improved story memory, including SQLite retrieval and an editor for facts and encounter summaries.

- Custom soundtrack replacement with local audio files, looping, and volume controls.

- City Life venues: bowling alley, roller rink, and cat café, with day/night backgrounds.
- City Life jobs for those above for the player and NPCs.

- Meanwhile conversations: read-only scenes between NPCs based on existing encounters.

My custom character Scarlett is an optional install as well!
How to install:
1) Save and close all Venus University windows. Keep a save backup.
2) Double-click Maestro-Community-Mods-Setup-1.1.2.exe.
3) Choose the feature groups you want. Scarlett Brooks is a separate, unchecked option with her portrait beside it.
4) Click Let's begin, then point to the folder containing Venus University.exe.
5) Check compatibility and click Install. Launch the normal game executable afterward.
6) No administrator access or separate Node installation is required. The executable is unsigned, so Windows may show an unknown-publisher notice.
7) The setup can be used to uninstall. You should uninstall the mods first if you reinstall it!
NOTE: PLEASE USE A FRESH COPY OF THE GAME FOR NOW!

That's awesome! I added a new area to the game (Roller Rink) and thought it would be adorable if she had a outfit for that and considered generating one.
On the new areas, I am thinking about sharing the three new areas I created as a mod! (Roller Rink, Bowling Alley, and Cat Cafe!) If I do I will keep you posted.
(Also, if you're curious, she is not very good at roller skating) :P

Scarlett struts through the world like a dazzling sunbeam, presenting herself as an unflappable, flirtatious powerhouse who loves a playful banter. Underneath the glamorous posture and casual swagger, she is genuinely a soft-hearted, romantic ditz who gets overwhelmed by genuine affection and misses her old friends fiercely. What she craves deep down is a soft place to land where someone adores her for her clumsy, sweet core rather than just her striking exterior. Her tragic flaw is her extreme headstrong pride; when she feels lonely or misunderstood, she masks her vulnerability with playful detachment or over-the-top confidence, accidentally pushing potential close friends away before they can see her bleed. Underneath the surface, she is kind, sweet and will help anyone in need.

Additional posts of some random suggestions after playing more. No need to respond but wanted to share:
Customizable Hard Mode: Let players choose individual starting weaknesses—Brain (“Dumb”), Body (“Weakling”), and Heart (“Socially Awkward”). Selected stats begin at −15 and improve through normal gameplay.
Relationship complications: Choose a specific girl or a random girl who initially dislikes the player or is their ex. Starting resentment fades over time and can be overcome through positive interactions.
Custom story premise: An optional text box for background twists when starting the game, such as a academic probation or a disability. The premise informs generated dialogue and narration but it doesn’t automatically change gameplay rules.
Public character journals: A Bunnyboard tab with blog-style posts for every enrolled girl. Entries draw from saved encounters, personality, memories, and relationship state, with a title, mood, and date. Posts hint at meaningful experiences without revealing intimate details. Characters avoid naming the player unless they’re dating. Other students comment on the published post using their own personalities. Comment generation receives only public content, keeping private events private. Generate entries for the latest completed night, individually or for everyone, then retain them with the save.
Some suggestions/questions, not sure if they are covered anywhere!
1) Any plans on having a discord for people or the equivalent?
2) It would be nice to have the option to interject/go back/regenerate/clarify things that are said. While the system works 95% of the time extremely well, sometimes the AI will take the scene in a direction that I don't want it to go (or I want to interject before it goes a certain way) and it'd be nice to be able to force the text box to appear to head it off or even a way to go back a message or two. I understand that might not be a direction you want to take the game in but wanted to bring it up.
3) Note, I have not finished a full semester yet. I think it would be cool if you could have character cards generated for like Silly Tavern, etc. once your semester ends with them (with their memories of the player) that you can continue to chat with them OR have an in-game way of doing so after the semester ends.
4) Any plans to add romanceable or non-romanceable males to the game?
