Thank you!!!

I can't access your file. Are there any other ways to check out your music?

Pretty neat game! I personally would make the attack hit box bigger so that the player wouldn't have to go super close to the enemy to deal damage.
I would also have an arrow to pin point where you have to go to make it easier for the player to find the next level.

Hellloo everyone! Just some updates and sharing of our gameplay and visuals!

Hope everyone is doing dandy and fine!

UPDATE DAY 6

We got our Main Character done! Goofy-looking detective.

Here is a mini vertical slice sneak peek of the gameplay.

GAMEPLAY UPDATE

ANIMATION UPDATES

Also some updated animations for the character.

MAIN MENU UI UPDATE

Going for a first-person view with paperwork on a table menu.

LOOKING FOR A SONG COMPOSER

Currently, we are also looking for a song composer to help out with some custom music since our current one isn't free to help. We are going for a futuristic / synthwave / mystery / careful / on alert kind of music to fit the mystery and trust no one feeling.

1. Main Menu Song

2. Gameplay Song

3. Any other audio...?

Let me know if anyone is interested! Hope yall having been having a good jam!

NICE!~

Welll I got it with $25 left in my bank hahahaha.

Interesting game! I personally dislike the steering and how tight the road is. But I really like how unique the gameplay is!

  Some bugs I found,

- The person shoots before I hit the start button, allowing me to spot the killer.

- I cleared Level 4, but I did not unlock Level 5

Improvements I think can be made

- The start button should be placed in a more obvious location. Better UI/UX in general.

-  I think some sounds will make it more interesting.

- Rather than a drop box with just texts, I think a nicer and more clearer way to choose the killer is by laying the sprites out so you can pick the killer. Using colour word texts might be unclear, as some people's interpretation of red could be a different shade of red.

YO I love the art! The music is so cute, and the mini narrative is funny!

I got the golden lalapoopoo too!!!

Sounds super technical and difficult to do.

Hope to see it soon!

Thank you!!

I tried your game, and I think you should add more robots to make it more challenging. I walked past the only one and completed the game demo way too easily hahaha. I'm looking forward to newer version of your game too!

This is fire! Reminds me of the androids from star wars HAHAHA. Excited for your game!

Mad progress.

Nice!! We almost went for a ghost theme and visuals as well but decided to pivot to something else!

Nice!!! Wouldn't you need to create a lot of character assets?

Thank you so much!

You got this! Just tackle one task at a time, bit by bit and the effort will add up.

Really like the art for the dragons! the blue creepy humanoid looking dragon is so uncanny and interesting

Progress is looking very solid! POST POST I wanna see!

Hazardous Roadtrip!

Game Setting

A 4 player co-op game where you and your friends are on a road trip.

1 person is the blind driver. There are obstacles along the road.

3 other people who aren't driving can see and will guide you to your end destination and alert you to danger.

The twist is that there is one person possessed by a demon. His objective is to cause the car to crash and get everyone killed.

The demon will alternate and change his victim to a random non-driver player.

Win Condition

The player who is possessed by the demon and causes the car to crash WINS. The rest of the players will LOSE.

The others will WIN if they reach their goal without crashing; the possessed demon will LOSE that round.

3D!!! niceee I like the vibe going on with the light placements. Is it gonna be leaning toward mystery or horror theme or something different all together?

Love the positive message !!!

Thank you! Yeahh during the planning phase, we kept inflating the content and feature, but had to remind ourselves that we only have 1 week. So our goal is to at least get a vertical slice of the gameplay and visuals out!

Thank you! We are working hard on the game!

Thank you! What are you cooking up right now?

Thank you! The artist who did the character art is https://www.instagram.com/ayy_squared/ or at https://angabdiel118.wixsite.com/angabdiel!!

Check him out bro~

Go and fully enjoy the holiday broo. Use this jam as a learning experience and make an even better game in the next game jam!!

The attempt is already a massive step compared to those that didn't even try

I think our team had a pretty big leap in progress today! Solidifying on the art direction and the game mechanism is coming along!

I think game jams are the most fun when done with passionate people who care more about the process than the results! Low pressure with a high level of creative drive always comes with best memories and experience.

Thank you so much! cheers!

It's giving me horror vibes! I look forward to seeing it complete!

I did the animations! My art lead came up with all the assets hahaha!

You got this, broo. Please share some progresss tooo!

My Art Lead is crazy talented! You can find him at https://www.instagram.com/ayy_squared/ or at https://angabdiel118.wixsite.com/angabdiel

We also have a decent pipeline set up to pass work down more efficiently!

Hope everyone is doing well and mighty! I wanted to share some art that my Art Lead is cooking!!

My team and I have been working hard on developing the game!

Some animation that I cooked concurrently! We are planning to animate using Spine2D and drop them into Unity later.

Amazing Game brooo

Bro I just checked your soundtracks and they are super fireeee

HAHAHA the toilet is definitely the best place for ideation. I had my most creative ideas when I shower

I wasn't expecting to enjoy this much when I played it. Felt the introduction was a little too slow and almost missed a goldmine. 10/10!

Personally I think it is okay to use AI to gain the knowledge on how to code as a crutch. Once you get the knowledge and learn from the assistance of AI, But over time, you should pick up the skill which will eventually allow you to do it by yourself for future projects.

This is just my take, but I think AI is a great tool to learn and build a good foundation IF you use it for learning

There's also the OG method of googling and reading documents of previous coders' work or using YouTube content of learning how to code. Brackey YT channel has plenty of tutorials that will get you going for sure.
