It's not exactly that, but point taken. One at start and two follow after a second delay each.

Hey vizyn, just finished my run of Teem and, wow. I loved it!
Random Thoughts:
I went through the tutorial and that was super helpful. I think most players might skip that and I felt like its sort of mandatory to understand the mechanics. The only note on the tutorial would be to auto-advance once an objective was completed. There's a spot where I'm following gold circles and they start to repeat and it took me a minute to realize I needed to hit Enter to continue.
Visibility can get tough with all the swarm and enemies and attack lanes but most of it didn't bother me. I did struggle to sometimes find the "cap points" I forget what you call them in the game, but it was fun just attacking and growing the swarm
Visually, I love it. Conceptually, I love it. I haven't played anything like it and it's super cool
Difficulty wise, it might be a little too easy. I was kinda surprised I finished a whole run. You may be giving away upgrades too fast? I felt extremely powerful and the only biome that really got me sweaty was the final hive level with the battle royale style circle closing in on me
I can tell you put in a lot of work on this, I'll definitely be following its progress.
Hey PRISM, just got finished trying out the demo and I really like what I played. I did find it quite difficult and felt completing 4+ colors might be outside my skill level without a full ramp up and some serious training (maybe consider unlocking the first 3 levels in 2 color for the demo?).
Positives:
- I appreciate the minimalist aesthetic as it helped with color tracking
- I felt really great when I finally completed the 2 color level (after 14 runs)
- I like the aspect of the bright capture bonus (even though I didn't get any, this run)
- The music has a good vibe
Negatives:
- I struggled with the control more than anything. With 2 colors on MKB the scroll wheel was sufficient but but once I attempted the 3 color level I found myself swapping to the wrong color quite often
- I attempted play with a controller but it wasn't much better. I get that the UI helper in the bottom right hand corner is supposed to assist with color order but when you are using 3 colors and the right most color is actually A it feels like a mismatch.
- I get this wouldn't work but my brain wanted colors to be mapped to buttons based on their position (ie. A should always be down, B should always be right, etc)
I think this has a lot of potential, especially for high level bullet hell / dodge players, so take my negatives with a grain of salt. I'd also consider accessibility for color blind players, maybe there's a way you can make that work with patterning. Best of luck on the project. I'm looking forward to the release.
Thanks for the kind words and notes. Yeah, level 6 is definitely the hardest and I've been waiting to get more players through to verify that. I think softening the level 6 skill check and potentially raising the boss encounter might be a better approach.
I also played your other game and really enjoyed that as well. It definitely gave me nostalgia from the early console era. Nice work!
Howdy, so I played on computer (fyi) and took down some notes. I hope they are useful.
- Text captions are a bit distracting to read while playing, if you can shorten them to images in world, it would be smoother (think Spelunky tutorial room)
- The final caption says jump through the green ring at the end (but it's gold)
- By level 2, I don't think you need any tutorialization, it actually seems out of place to me and I found it fairly easy to understand my goal
- When I hit the red enemy, I blinked, but I'm not sure it did anything, do I have health?
- I like that there's challenge gems and a reason to return to levels
- Jumping on top of the targets seemed to hurt me, but rolling into them didn't, that was confusing (I did recognize I needed to remove the bubbles, but even when the bubble was down I seem to be hurt by hopping on the target)
Best of luck on your progress, I'm curious to see where it goes.
