You’re right, I ran the numbers: with the level-200 milestone cap the extra cost is redundant, and it only hurts players who recruit early. I’m removing it in the next update. Thanks for pushing on this!

I get it, it’s not for everyone. The idea is to push you toward the newest knight instead of leveling the first one forever, but I hear you. The latest version now shows the price factor on each knight’s row, so at least it’s explained.

Fair point, thanks. That’s the card that introduces each new monster type, and it does stop the game until you click. I’ll make it stop pausing the game in the next update.

Thanks! :)

Thanks for the feedback! It's not random: after a failed boss the army trains for a few waves, then the boss comes back on its own. It also comes back early as soon as your army is about 25% stronger, which is why it showed up after your upgrades. The latest version adds a "Challenge the boss" button so you can call it back yourself. I'm looking into a way to hold it back too.

Thanks a lot, glad you enjoyed the demo! Good suggestions, noted. In the latest version there's now a "Challenge the boss" button after a failed boss, so you can pick when to retry. Staying on one island, picking a target for the army and a bigger click upgrade are on my list, along with the cost jump after a new recruit.

Thanks for playing! That's on purpose: every time you recruit a newer knight, the older ones get more expensive, so the newest one is always the best buy. I agree it's not clear in the game though, I'll try to make it more obvious.
