From what I heard, there was an unofficial translation available somewhere, though I am not sure if that’s still the case or if it’s up to date with the current version of the game. There aren’t any official translations as of yet, though, but I will notify everyone here if that ever changes.

Were you downloading the full (new android) version, not the demo? In that case, it was made for the new android, but I guess it went obsolete already in under a year. I replaced the old file with a new one (com.pdrr.fmofull-1.5.9-1786278484-release.apk), though, so please let me know if you got it to work for you.

If you’re still getting an error, there should be a drop-down button or an arrow to let you ‘install anyway.’ Running an older version on a new model shouldn’t cause any issues in this case since it’s an IF and there aren’t many game-like features that could be broken/outdated, it’s just text and images. I tested my older projects on newer models, both IF and VNs, and they were running fine on my end, but if you do run into an issue while playing, do let me know, and I’ll do my best to fix it.

Eh, I have to disagree, I mean you’re naturally free to dislike my game, but as a player myself, that’s what I enjoy in VNs as a genre the most, the options that let me affect the world via my choices, not just my reaction to it, but I get why it might not be your cuppa!

I see I should start telling new players to start from unlocking ending 1 because from the feedback I am getting, once you get ending 2, there is no going back haha! Glad you enjoyed, though!

I am working on a sort of prequel (with a new, demon MC) that fleshes out the lore and fills in the blanks of what happened in the Overshadow during the Summoner’s absence. It’ll only have 2 ROs this time around (another demon and a ghost), but more light branching (though without actual stats) with 3 origin stories (intros) for the player to pick from: Convict, Clergy, and Charlatan. I am currently in the middle of the last one (just over 50k words), so I am hoping to upload the demo here within a few months, depending on how much free time I have to write and code.

No problem! If you’re interested in knowing other handy shortcuts for Ren’py [this site] has them all listed, but bear in mind that they might not work for all Ren’py-made games because they seem to be dependent on the versions.

The way itch has it set up, it doesn’t seem so, no, but the way I’ve done it with other players is you can just purchase just the game again/pay the 5 here or on ko-fi/patreon, whichever’s easier for you, and email me (pdrrook@gmail.com) the receipt/proof of purchase and I’ll send you the pdf that way.

That being said, if you only need the guide because you have an issue reaching one of the endings, I did explain how to get most of them in the comments below, so check that out first and let me know if you need further guidance. Hope that helps!

Hi! It’s not stupid at all! I probably should have added the info when I first uploaded the game, but it slipped my mind. Sorry about that. I will update the main page after I post the reply. Now, to answer your question:

The PDF consists of 66 pages and 3 main sections: lore (codex), pages 2-15, extras (backstory POVs for each RO), pages 16-41, and the guide, pages 42-65. The guide lists the in-game choices/branches (aside from flavor/fluff choices like the character creation options, etc.), including their stats and variables.

Personally, I don’t think the guide is needed to finish the game (and I already listed how to get the endings here, in the comments, and on my Tumblr), but it was requested on Patreon, and I thought I would post it here, too, in case someone would want it as well.

Hi! You mean the main character? Yes, you can pick the pronouns, name, surname, and appearance, as well as other miscellaneous things (like clothes, for example) through the game.

I’ll add the clarification under the ‘info’ part of the description, right after ‘customizable protagonist’ point. If anything else is unclear, or if you have other questions, do let me know!

Yes! To unlock Ending 6 (which leads to epilogues) you need to pass both stat checks, as in, ideally you should pick either Chaos or Brute Force instead of balancing both (which is an oversight on my part! In my future games, I’ll try to add an extra option for a balanced route, but it wasn't possible here because the stat points can differ greatly depending on the branches).

So, basically, you need over 6 points for altruism OR self-serving stat to pass the first check, and over 6 points for Chaos OR Brute Force to pass the second stat check (I lowered the original threshold after the initial feedback, so it should be easy now to max the stat even if you skip some relevant choices, as long as you stay on a single stat route. Though do let me know if that’s not the case, and I’ll see what I can do to make it easier).

As for the plot points, you can get to Ending 6 in the same place you got Ending 5, only that if you have maxed out the second stat (Chaos or Brute Force), one of two options will be unlocked for you:

“...to subdue or wipe out the constructs.” for Brute Force 

or 

“...to seize and try to disarm the stone.” for Chaos.

Picking whichever of the two will lead you to Ending 6. Hope that helps!

Yes, in Lotár’s case, it costs them a lot to open up, and it’s almost a one-in-a-lifetime offer, so the ‘sprinkle’ of betrayal would be way too much for them to swallow even for the sake of receiving help. In this rare case, hurt and pride (and hurt pride) go first before self-preservation.

That being said, if not for all the variables and if/elses I crammed into this game, in addition to what’s basically 5+2 routes (solos + LTs), I would totally add friendship-only choices as an option, so that’s an oversight on my part, but I fear that adding anything at all at the time I was working on this would be just too much for me to handle. I will make sure to keep that in mind for my future projects, though, and I might add some content like that in the complimentary prequel/sequel DLC I am currently working on. I hope that its addition will answer all the possible questions (including those about Notre) and smooth the rough edges as well as let the readers experience the LIs, other realms, and past events via an outsider's POV with a new demon protagonist.  

Ah, it’s hard for me to judge, but from the feedback I’ve gotten, it is 'terribly sad,' especially for some (namely Mirren and Mal). I personally don’t enjoy LTs (too sad for me haha) but I really wanted to try writing that at least once, and I am not sure if I’ll ever do it again. You could try reading up to the point where you have to make the final decision, though! I recommend it if only because the LTs have additional and/or different content and scenes compared to the solos, so it might be worth it just for that.

One more thing, if it’s not too much to ask, please keep the heavy spoilers off the main page either by using multiple paragraphs (enters/spaces) so that the reader has to click ‘read more’ to see them, using the spoiler tag [here’s how to do it on itch] that creates a little arrow for the reader to click on, or simply leaving the comment in the latest devlog. I am also confused, sorry. Yes, the full game consists of 5 chapters, 200k words in total. If you didn't pick the premature endings and reached the epilogues, there should be a resolution with your love interest.

I just uploaded a new version of the build. The issue should be solved now, and for the future chapters as well.

The IF is a bit different, and while it has a lot of new content, some of the VN scenes were skipped, so I actually recommend people play the VN first, then the IF for a more ‘full’ experience. That being said, I am glad to hear you enjoyed the VN, and I hope the IF will also be to your liking!

The old version should work fine, too, as long as you click ‘install anyway.’ The message is due to a potential compatibility issue with older apps, but since FMO is text-based, there are virtually no issues when running it on newer devices.
