If I'm being honest I'm not really sure what I just played but the message touched me in such a way I'm at the verge of tears. Really cool game in story and gameplay even if it was a little weird

it gives me an error every time it loads

Errorsrc/assistant/renderer.lua:-1: attempt to perform arithmetic on a nil valueTraceback[love "callbacks.lua"]:228: in function 'handler'src/assistant/renderer.lua: in function 'new'src/app/application.lua:108: in function <src/app/application.lua:107>[C]: in function 'pcall'src/app/loader.lua:13: in function 'update'src/app/application.lua:142: in function 'update'main.lua:12: in function 'update'[love "callbacks.lua"]:162: in function <[love "callbacks.lua"]:144>[C]: in function 'xpcall'

It's a pretty good game! The art style is pretty good (especially the character portraits) and the movement is very responsive (reminds me of games like hk and celeste). However I did notice a bunch of bugs and I know that this is a temporary version of the game but I'd like to point them out anyway:

jump audio only plays on left ear

there are two horizontal dead pixels in the middle of the screen(I'm guessing it has something to o with hazel's sprite since its kind of the same color)

the wasps' sound annoyingly loops (it'd be better if it went from loud sound at beginning and end or quiet sound at beginning and end so that it doesn't seem cut

mushrooms don't reset your double jump

some mushroom are scaled in engine instead of in sprite editor leading to different pixel sizes

not a bug but I suggest adding parralax to the background(like some parts move slower than others to make the illusion of depth)

again not a bug but the fall damage height is too small imo (you can double jump from a one tall ledge and die

death sprite still appears when you respawn if you don't stop holding a direction key

you can cancel fall damage by spamming space right before hitting the ground

there isn't indication(to my knowledge) that you can crouch by pressing down or S (spent like a minute trying to get the worm at the end of the wasp area)

jumping while crouched looks weird

the snow area background has some pretty noticable pixel scaling issues

in the pit in the snow area the jump sfx stops playing for some reason

near the second checkpoint in the forest i think if you dont move and look at the bottom left there are two vertical dead pixels

at the top of the level near the part full of logs there are some unconnected tiles (and you can just see an empty part)

most textboxes after the initial cutscene still let you walk with them open

in the blue cave section there are some bits that appear on top of the ground below and to the left of you

I only got it to happen once but I managed to get squished between a horizontaly moving block and a wall near the second forest checkpoint and it built up a lot of falling speed(i fell to the ground like an actual missile)

the walking noises are a bit too loud which makes them quite distracting

near the goblin if you crouch at the platform on the lake and try to walk to the grass you can't

the message to make better soup still appears after you've made soup and there is no visual indicator that you have soup in your inventory or smth

it would be very helpfull to have like a part of the screen where shilouettes of the remaining items could be seen that would then be filled after you collect that item (you could even color the outline to represent the area tey are in to make backtracking easier)

you should make the goblin taller so that the player can't just try to jumo over them and get killed by a death plane

the last jump to reach who I assume is calico doesn't seem possible

I've just replayed it and it does feel a LOT better, the music gives it a good atmosphere and the animations give the game a lot of life compared to the other version! I also really liked seeing the characters return and their personalities where very well written in my opinion. I also managed to noticed some more references (mostly in the bloatware section) like Bloons TD, HK Bonzi buddy and if I remember correctly lucky patcher(or in this case unlucky patcher) was an old piracy thing for android which REALLY threw me back to the olden days. Also I really liked the detail on the malware minigame where the fake apps move a little bit more, it really helped make the game more fun even if it made the magnifying glass a little useless if you REALLY REALLY paid attention. All in all these where great additions to the game and I hope your thesis goes well!

This is a pretty good game! The game does feel like its missing some thing like a soundtrack or animations for the clients but other than that the artstyle is really good and I found it very fun to put the pieces together to find out what was causing what! I hope that if this ever gets updated it become more like a game like home safety hotline where you have a bunch of different problems that be the cause of the issue and you have to pay attention to every detail to make the right choice. Also loved all the references hidden in the background! I managed to spot sans, minecraft, amongus, neko oneshot, and salem techtips(pretty much all thing I hold close to my heart)!

Awesome game. I got 98

This was a really fun game! The mechanics were weirdly impressive and the sound design is just SO GOOD!!! The only things I didn't like were the movement because it felt a little stiff(and because jump wasn't space but I can't think of a better place to put the signal button) and the random crushing deaths that can happen if you put yourself between two walls/pistons. But other than that the level design was phenomenal and led me to replay the game to get a time of 4:20:374(4:04 if the cutscene didn't count)

My main complaints are that the switching sound is to loud and annoying(especially when you are experimenting) and that the levels take a long time to load(they also reload after failure which is really annoying). Apart from that this seems like a really fun game and I hope you keep working on it :)

I really liked this game! The story was very captivating and the gameplay was intuitive and interesting at the same time. The only problem I have with this game is that was a bit short but it was still very good.

I really loved this game. the controls were very good, the concept itself was fun to play around with and the music was surprisingly good for a free game.
