Good news for you, Nose has said he's looking into adding legacy controls back as a toggle for 0.10. No guarantee it'll happen, but I hope it helps to know that he's acknowledged and is trying to do so

Just an FYI, you don't need to use the mouse to use keypads. The keypads react to numpad keys as of 0.9

This could be caused by so many things. I'd recommend hopping onto the Discord if you haven't already and making a post in #馃寪votv-bug-forums where you can provide your crash logs

The most common crash I've been seeing is to do with the audio thread. If you happen to have Bluetooth headphones, non-standard audio devices or any audio programs running, they may be crashing the game. Unplug/disconnect those devices and/or kill the programs in task manager (make sure they don't reboot themselves), and try launching again without those things active.

For the people wondering: yes, the radar pathing module breaks the spectrogram (as well as pencils and whiteboard) because of engine limitation: one can't draw stuff without overriding the other

The button was for DEMO snow mode, which is now no longer a thing in 0.9 because seasons have been implemented. The button you're talking about no longer exists in 0.9.

Sorry Maksymus84, the snow is from the Christmas event, which currently cannot be turned off even by changing the season in the saves screen, and can only be rid of by changing the date of your computer to be November. A LOT of people have been having FPS issues with it, so I'm sure the devs know about it by now.

Play 0.8 then, I actually really recommend that version. There's also a mod for the version on Thunderstore which makes various aspects of the game go slower so if the day length setting still isn't enough, that may help. Then, when you've learned 0.8 and like the game, THEN try 0.9, as it changes a lot of things, but a few things are still the same. The learning curve will be less high, but still need to learn new but familiar things.

also, did the mandatory tutorial not teach you anything about the signal table? That seems like equally important feedback to give!

0.9 introduced a bug where, indeed, the ladder and fuse box were still present during the missing radio tower event. It was MEANT to be fixed in 0.9b.

I'd like to suggest a sort of "peaceful" mode (sorry, Minecraft was the first thing that came to mind trying to explain this :P)

A mode where there's no shark and you can just create stuff without the worry of a shark gobbling it all up. I got so scared when I was just trying to make essentials and hadn't built anything and the shark came and ate a quarter of the raft ;-;
