In short yes. I pivoted my grand idea into a more "slot machine" typed game. Yes, there is a system hats checking for "Bandmate Performance" that dictates if you get a good, bad, both not nothing out some when colliding with each location and each location gives u a set amount of resources dependent on the bandmates you choose.
Then I add clickable noise makers to make it the game more like a toy and a track me a my bro jammed that one time.
I should and will put that the games a slot machine and its oods are like 1 out of 10 try
I trying to make the game as fail proof as I could so the player couldnt muck up to bad. I had no play tester so im sure lots is unclear despite my effort.
My only question is Did you have Fun despite the games glaring flaws??
I ask cuz it is not the the voting critera and I feel its one of the most importin, more so then a good gdd.
TYVM for playing M8 ill see ya in the next jam :) cheers
I felt like I was playing a prototype for that one crazy board game that Fin and Jake the Dog play in the one episode of adventure time! I enjoyed playing and the music kept me around. The learning curve was a little tough but after a few trys I got it. There was lot of choice from the multiply unit choice, to the amount of quick decisions made to select the proper dice when you attack . The game could use a little more Juice and interactivity in the buttons in the prefight and when the fights happening. Also, i didnt know where to click to make the game progress. It's int he Bottom Right corer says "Fight" right on it... I didnt see it for like 3 mins. Good game - Nice long Campaign. Music made it worth sticking around for me and the GDD is Incredible. Good Job on the game Cheers
TY for playing. I agree, the timings are not clear enough. The black room was for testing that Savatos was fun to play even without all the other visual noise. It is in great juxtaposition to ur very calming and relaxing game and very well put together. I enjoy that game jams offer such a variety of games, I hope we both get to compete again in Round 3. TY for playing :)
Yes, the blacksceen after 2 levels is normal, the black screen was for like testing movement without any other visuals, so I could try to make the run animation feel good by itself. though the area got under utilized, I thought it was important to make sure Savatos felt good to just be looked at. TY very much for playing :)
! ! South Park'ish art was what I was going for !! Im so glad someone else can see what I was going for. Ill be sure to have the visual cues be more noticeable ty for the feedback, I will be more mindful of it moving forward. I Challenge you to make the most South Park looking Character you can and post a screenshot, so I can use it for the Cover Art of the game.
This was fun to play around with and make a few little dudes. The variety of rudimentary shapes available made ez to imagine character to make. - shapes kept spawning in the bottom left making them trick to grab and I didnt realize they where spawning for a min. There should be another way to rotate, my mouse 3 only works if im holding it, so my page was scrolling when I was rotating. :) Here's a pic of my Goober! - I challenge you to plz make the Goober'est Character in the game I submitted and send me a screenshot to use in the Cover Art for it. :)

Very kool, I agree with everything everyone else has said. Gratz~ A small Challenge for you my friend isto make the wildest Character you can and post a screenshot, so I can use it for the Cover Art of the game please and thank you.
