Haha I'll persevere then. I NEED to see the cute Kiwi! Clearly my favorite game of the jam despite some of the shortcomings.

Thanks for the feedback.
I'll tell my partner that you liked the art, she will be really happy :)
2 minutes for a day seemed long but then when you're in it I agree it feels very short^^ that's a good sign, meaning it's fun enough for the time to fly by. I'm thinking for a future version 2 about not throwing everything in the trash between days to be less frustrating to be interupted in the middle of the day. Or making the day a bit longer and the alarm 1h ingame (24 secondes in real life) before the end of the day for people having the time to finish up drinks and serving them after the alarm.
I'm not from the US myself, recognizing the cents was clearly very challening at first. In a way I'm happy that I can recognize cents now and feel like the game taught me a small thing that way :) Even if it won't be very useful in my day to day life^^
Thanks again for playing, and participating to the game jam (I loved your game as well :) ), wish you all the best.
High score: 47 ( EDIT: 56 :) )
Pretty good gameplay loop, loved the music as well.
The sound effects were a bit too high compared to the music, especially the "being hurt" sound.
The controls screen is disappearing really fast, first run I didn't know I could attack^^ it was a bit... overwhelming but then I replayed and it really clicked. Loved it. The art is nice, the gameplay is great even if I'd loved to be able to change direction midair, but was part of the challenge.
Really loved the difficulty calibration, it's tough but you learn and you want to play again, optimizing the routes etc. Great stuff!
Thanks for the feedback :) We had a lot of fun building it. Well-noted, adding more variety to make it a bit less repetitive and tedious was the next thing on the list to improve the game. We wanted to do more things like the "Better knife" to add a bit of variety but finally decided to keep it simple :)
Anyway that's super cool you're taking the time to post a comment for each game, thanks Ranarh.
- Cute bunny, check
- Fruits diversity with nice art, check
- Upgrade system, check
I had a fun time playing it, gameplay is simple but engaging.
I would have loved the challenge to ramp up a bit, I feel the upgrades makes you always above the flow zone (always a bit too easy), making you stop when you have enough instead of when the game becomes too hard.
I agree with Ranarh, the concept is pretty cool but there is a big issue with the scaling, everything seem super small and hard to read. Which is a shame since there is a lot of good ideas here.
I especially love the questionnable parcel power-up thing adding variety and fun effect. The gameplay loop is fun. Detective marmelade is obviously super cute (normal, it's a cat^^) and sorting out / gathering fruits are completly in the theme.
Thanks a lot @TheSurvivor2327 for the feedback :)
Happy that you had the full experience, I was scared the gap between all upgrades and the bike was too big and would make people quit.
Haha yes initially I was thinking about it and then ditch the idea, maybe for a v2 :D
As you can imagine a lot of ideas were ditched, like any good game jam games^^
One of the most ambitious idea we had to ditch would be that the game switch to a "manager" kind of game along the way, where you hire your lil' sisters and brothers to work for you. They would be slower but would work non-stop. And then you can "teach them" how to become better at their task by doing it perfectly in front of them. But yes... way too complex xD
A lot of idea like the "Better knife" upgrade as well, to make the "mini-games" funnier, but was hard to make it not too confusing and finally we decided to keep it simple.
Thank you, I used it (with slight modification) for my game that you can find here: https://pyroptere.itch.io/stecy-la-licorne
