This is so cute :D

I love how simple the mechanics are and at the same time being enjoyable. The game also has very cozy vibes :3

UPDATE 06/14/26:

Since more likely entries may not make it on time, people are now allowed to post their unfinished game as long everything is working fine.

There will be a redo on November and you can resubmit the final polished game in our next game jam.

Thank you for taking your time to read.

UPDATE 06/25/26:

The redo is pushed back to August and the second game jam is happening!

Hello! I'm Jed and I'm currently looking for a volunteer foley maker who can make a couple of SFX for the short game I'm making.

The game is basically a Milkshake Making game, which is heavily inspired by old flash games of the 2000s (and 2000s games in general)

If interested, please message me at Discord at @RoboticDreamz

Thanks!

UPDATE 06/08/2026:

We recently modified the rules a bit and now the theme for the jam now includes "galaxy" aside being Y2k-inspired. Preciously, this second theme is listed as optional only.

This post contains all of the announcements and updates for the game jam. These would be the same announcement you'll see in our official Discord server.

Do you have any contact or social media? I'd love to send you a DM about the project :)

Still looking for writers tbh

I'm considering making my first game jam and I've been discussing it with my fellow game dev friends for awhile.

Technically we had this idea where you should create a game based around our group's mascot. Though I'm not sure if such theme is allowed here.

So the question is: Are users allowed to feature an OC in game jams or not?

I'm needing some help on doing one of my projects called The Slumber Party. It's a horror set in the early 80s and it features 6 teenagers who goes to a slumber party...then something terrible happens.

Though it is horror, the story focuses more of a plot where the characters interact together. It's not a straight up slasher story where almost everyone dies. It is also a hybrid visual novel/point-and-click game. It's going to be focusing more on text until later at some point where it switches to point-and-click mode.

What do I need right now?

I'm going to need writers to help me rewrite portions of the game.

There are three ACTs in the script, with ACT 1 still need rewording due to badly written scenes and dialogues. While ACT 2 and ACT 3 are the most unpolished.

This is also an unpaid project since I don't have money. But maybe someday if the project became successful, I'll pay everyone eventually.

NOTE: This post might change in the future if I need someone else.

If interested, feel free to add me on Discord and we'll discuss about it :DD

So I'm planning to make a NSFW game and I figured it should be separated from my main account. At the same time, I'm also planning a SFW version and that version will be released here.

Is doing that allowed here on Itch.io?

Okay, I know this is awkward but I stumbled on this game while browsing Bluesky, so I went to play it. And holy shit this game is actually good :D (and it makes me happy cuz I'm also Filipino and the settings remind me of my town a lot)

Keep up the good work :3 (Idk what to say anymore pero ang galingg)

Btw I just added you back :D

Hello! I'm Jed and I've been programming in Ren'Py since 2015. If you need any programmers in your project, I'm willing to help with the work.

While I physically cannot work with projects made in Ren'Py 8 since I'm using an old laptop (and I'm too broke to buy a new one), I can easily convert the projects to Ren'Py 7.

WHAT I CAN DO:
-Basic Ren'Py coding
-Coding screens and imagebuttons
-Doing Ren'Py variables

WHAT I CANNOT DO:
-More complex Python coding/Pure Python
-Modifying the default Ren'Py GUI (I'm more familiar with the Legacy GUI from Ren'Py 6)
-Coding in other engines.

NOTE:

I will also turn down the offer if your project contains or uses Generative AI. I refuse to work on those kind of projects.

TIME:
My timezone is GMT +8
I'm mostly available every day unless it's lunchtime here in my country (11 AM-1 PM) or if I'm asleep/offline (6 PM-7AM)

PAYMENTS:

For payment it can be discussed with me in the messages and we can probably negotiate with it.

My payment methods are mainly Paypal.

CONTACT:
You can contact me via Discord
Discord: RoboticDreamz

Looking forward to work with you! :D

UPDATE:
I'm going to stop doing free projects at the moment and I'm going to mostly accept paid projects atm

I just played this game and I think it's not that bad for a first game :D

I overall like it. It's almost cozy and pretty wholesome too

Thanks for using my SFX btw :DD

(I'm LittleRainySeasons on Freesound)

I just played the game and I think it's not bad for a first game. The art style is very nice and the plot is simple.

Though I do admit it might be a little annoying if users wanted to do a speedrun of the game and it exits the game window instead directing them to the main menu. Otherwise, it's actually decent.

Hello! I'm Jed and I'm currently looking for a writer who can help me with this Ren'Py mini-game I'm doing. It's technically part of a bigger project I'm making called The Slumber Party, which is a horror point-and-click/visual novel. I'm mostly doing all the stuff here and pretty much it's quite hard for me to do all of the things all at once. This is why I'm looking for help.

WHAT IS THIS PROJECT ALL ABOUT?
Gardalos is a text adventure mini-game. Originally made for a secret portion in The Slumber Party but I'd figure it should get a standalone release as well.
The game focuses on an elf which was tasked to do a certain quest, and the player's goal is to make sure the elf succeed on their goal without dying.
It also have strong NES/Old computer aesthetics and its art is completely done in pixel art.

WHAT CAN I DO?
While the script is already finished, I'm looking for someone who could do proofreading and rewrites on some of the dialogues as they are very clunky (and I wasn't able to polish it myself due to writer's block).

You will be credited both in The Slumber Party and the standalone version of Gardalos.

If interested, please message me on Discord at RoboticDreamz.
