Start a drift:
Turn into a corner with some speed and tap the handbrake. Lifting off then accelerating, or braking hard as you turn in also works.
Hold it:
- Steer where you want to go. Turning in tightens the line, and counter-steering widens it.
- Throttle sets the angle. Half throttle holds it steady, and full throttle gives the most angle. Smooth pedal inputs beat stabbing.
- To end the drift, lift off and straighten up.
Transition (switch sides):
- Ease off to below about half throttle, then steer hard the other way for a moment. The car swings over like a pendulum.
- Tapping the handbrake while steering the other way also works.
- It won’t happen at full throttle, so lift first.
First runs: try SOLO on Serpentine or Mountain Pass first. If you spin out, press Reset (R / Y) to get back on track.
