Got to level 55 before deciding to move out of the Vermin Wizard's neighborhood. Very fun!

honey just one more label printer will tie this room together beautifully.

Really fun! On Night 33 and still playing on to see how long my eight label printers can handle my fly problem. Love the music and how it changes between the tracks! The game definitely starts slowing down as you get to the larger upgrades, but that just means my fly disposal mechanism is working as far as I'm concerned. Great job!

Really fun! Definitely agree with what others have said, I feel like my first click was almost always a curse, but at least that gave me info to know everything around it was curse-free.
Love the UI design, very creative to have the description of each body show up in an "obituary", and I really like the look of the "Nights Left" counter. Feels like everything in the UI was chosen super deliberately, and it looks great, bravo!

Thank you so much, this was so thoughtful! I love the fishing bobber idea, I am unashamedly yoinking that and throwing it on my sticky note :P. You're definitely right on both counts, I want to revisit how I lay out the minigame instructions - I originally had it be a bit more verbose ("Count the pins that were hit!") but I couldn't come up with a great way to express it without making it a jumble of words the player has to parse quickly before jumping in. Definitely something I gotta take another look at. The button timer being too tight was also something most commenters agreed on, and was something I thought about during development but just kinda... pushed it off for future me to solve... whoops! Thanks for playing :D

Yeah this might just be my favorite game of the jam. Only one issue I ran into: I didn't know if my plucks were counting in the beginning. I think I plucked around 20 birds before I saw the pop up and realized all of my feathers were lost LOL. Unlocking new birds and having the progression bar made me want to see through the whole game. A fun mechanic, great sfx to match, and the song of the jam all in one package. No notes y'all, great job. I've got feathers to pluck.

This game was dreamt up by the criminally insane. I love it. I wish I read the warning that I might want to remember something, I thought I had remembered it accidentally as well only to realize the first level was level 0 haha. Thank you for the new XKCD!

Thanks for playing! You're 100% right on all counts haha, I didn't get to playtest much and it shows, but you live and you learn :P

So much polish. Everything about this game is so slick. Admittedly I suck at it but I definitely want to come back and try to reach floor 30!

I love this! One of my favorite games I've tried in the jam, super solid platforming and I love the level design matching the theme. The player and obstacles are all really cute, the sound design is intuitive, I love it all!

Really fun!! Great polish on the undo and restart features, made it easy to just keep going without much difficulty. All of the levels are really solid and unique. Cute art and a great use of the theme too, awesome work :)

Lovely! I love the mix of real-time and tick based puzzle you guys got going here. I also love the character sprite being 2d in this setting, very cute. I'm not sure if I actually completed the game, I got to an ending with 280 steps/ticks remaining, and got some dialogue sounding like I didn't make it in time and a return to menu/play again queue. Skill issue on my end?

Pretty fun! I like the addition of the first clock as a "tutorial" where the time isn't ticking down yet, that made it much easier to know what the goal was. Great job!

You all should be thankful I'll never be in this position. We'd be doomed.

Great work!

Really cute aesthetic, the main character reminded me of a hat in time. The game froze a few times for me requiring a restart, but it was still pretty cool :)

Thanks for playing! Kicking myself for not playtesting now haha. Glad you had fun!

definitely user error on my side, new charger wattage was too low and pc silently went into power saving mode (and the shader comp error was just issues with my GMTK sandbox vm) - all good :)

I really liked this! I'm not a big tower defense guy but I finished the game and won something, definitely had me hooked enough to see it through! All of the art was really cute, I'd love to see the extra polish the team puts in after the review period, nice work :)

INCREDIBLE WORK! I'm so glad Roadkill was able to get that federal pardon for the duration of the game jam, although it definitely convinced me that guilty verdict wasn't a fluke (as fun as it was to spray those catboys for him)

Fun game! Felt pretty good about getting to level 13. Great job :)

this game rocks. it didn't run super well on my setup unfortunately, i struggled through some weird shader comp errors before it finally start working with a slight stutter, but i was still able to have a lot of fun with it. I hope you guys keep going with this idea a bit post the jam, I could see myself sinking countless hours into this! edit: after thorough investigation and expert analysis i was able to identify the problem (skill issue on my side). game works beautifully and is even better when not stuttering, great work :)

Good work on the game! On level 2 I didn't do much planning once I realized what the timing aspect would be, and my first clone was just me hopping on and off the first button for about 30 seconds (thinking you had set up multiple walls that would go on/off with that button)... I felt like a fool when I saw only two walls connected to that button haha. Great work!

Took me a couple of tries to fully get what was going on, but reading the other comments here made me take another look, and I'm glad I did! As someone else said, that +500 base from the anchovy sauce is killer! Really fun and creative, and the art is pretty sweet too :)

Great work! Everything about this game is super clean, I was drawn to try it by your your progress updates on twitter and was really excited to see it show up in the submission feed. Kudos!

Love the idea! Would've loved to see what you could've done with the whole jam period given how polished it already is! Kudos!

Absolutely incredible! Really cute interpretation of the theme, the art is awesome, the movement is slick, kudos to the team!

insane, really fun, congrats to the team on getting this made in such a short timespan!

Fair enough! You just count how many moles get smacked by a hammer for that minigame. There's a little instruction/example that shows up before each minigame that shows what you're counting, but I definitely could've done a better job of instructing, something I definitely needed to playtest more!

Thanks for playing :)

Love the music, sound effects, and art! I think I might be a bit too dumb to fully get the idea, even with the tutorial I had a bit of a hard time understanding what my objectives were, along with the wording of some of the cards/buttons. For example, for the straight button in the tutorial, I'm not sure when or if I got it to activate at all, a little indication of the mult being applied would be great (or perhaps I missed it?). Super solid jam game and I hope the team continues working on it after the review period!

Had a lot of fun playing! The skill tree was slick. The simple generated art works really well for this type of arcade game, not distracting at all and makes it really obvious to the player what's going on immediately. I think the enemies can be a bit dumb - I came up with a strategy of circling the perimeter of the map until the last second, allowing more red squares to spawn that I could take out in a burst with the right click, made it really easy to farm them, removing any incentive for me to buy the node that reduces red square spawns. Very fun, great job!

Thank you so much for the kind words! You're 100% right on the counting timer, someone else commented the same thing and it's something I meant to get back to, but unfortunately my time management skills need a little work lol. Glad you had fun :)

Glad you had fun! I probably could've done a better job of describing how the game works, I hope the little instructions and example before each new minigame helped a bit :)

Thanks for playing! You're definitely right on the "counting time" being a little short, it's something I meant to get back to and just kept ignoring until time eventually ran out. Glad you had fun :)

Thank you so much! I'm glad you had fun :)

i love it and will be using this as motivation to figure out how I can also monetize my spinning (at significantly lower RPM)

im a stinky beta no more!

there's gotta be a better place to hang out than right next to the giant murder saws

this rocks, and is incredibly difficult on a bad laptop trackpad... which might be how it feels to ride a unicycle?
