I think the affinity bug might have been the issue, I'm finally getting proper x5000 speed again!

(1 edit)

There are two patterns intertwined. For example, if you had the following pattern:

Fire, Light, Water, Darkness, Air, Earth, ?1, ?2

The odd positions form one pattern: Fire, Water, Air. And the even positions form the other pattern: Light, Darkness, Earth. In this case, both of these patterns would be just advancing one position in the element wheel. So the  next element for the odd pattern (?1) would be Light, and the next element for the even pattern (?2) would be Wood.

Yeah, I plan on getting all the imprints, but completing all the bestiaries is just too much work. =p

Honestly I haven't tried anything else than fights since I'm going for TL levels right now. I'll try it when the game is back up and report back.

Edit: Yeah, I'm getting x3000 in Willowbrook too, so it's probably my machine. Weird though, I was able to get x5000 comfortably before 1.2.2.

x5000 speed seems to have improved slightly with the latest update, sometimes hitting ~x3000, but it's still performing way below the intended speed, running on Dedicated Worker.

At this point I wonder if the issue is maybe that my hardware has accumulated too much Ice Qi. XD

Would it be possible to have a "mixed" setting for suffixes? So you go up to Dc, but after 1kDc you start using scientific notation. Imo it's a bit unintuitive to use scientific notation for "small" numbers like 1e4.

I was sure it was 10k for Willowbrook foes and 25k for wilderness ones, but I checked and you are right. Seems like it's only 10k for all but apex, so it's a lot faster indeed.

Did you complete the 25k kills for full bestiary completion of each wilderness creature?

A guide would take most of the fun out of this game, imo. The point is to try stuff and see what new progression paths you can unlock.

If you feel like you're stuck in Willowbrook, I'd recommend trying to achieve the maximum mastery status in each activity (it's not really a maximum as the mastery number can still go up, but the game will tell you there is nothing more to discover by advancing it) or trying to defeat all enemies in the exploration areas.

Also make sure you're buying the permanent upgrades from the shop, as those will be required for meaningful progress across reincarnations.

I'm using Firefox version 155.0.1 (64-bit). As for the specs:

Windows 10 64-bit
CPU: Intel i7-10700K @ 3.80GHz
RAM: 16.0GB
GPU: GeForce RTX 2080S

First of all, I want to thank you for your work. I have developed idle games before that didn't even come close to the popularity of this one, and yet I still felt a lot of pressure to deliver more content and fix mistakes, so I wanted to say that I appreciate what you are doing.

Now for the bad news, I'm still seeing ~2300x actual on the 5000x speed, with Dedicated Worker. For reference, I'm Seeking the Mightiest Foes on the Deep Dual Wildernesses, working my way to getting all the techniques and leveling them to TL 100. If it would help, I can provide you with my save or give more details on the exact progression point.

I'm still getting only about x2000 on the x5000 speed even after both fixes.

It's possible for boards to be unwinnable if you can't change square colors, that's why it doesn't reset. And while it is easy to brute force, it's also tedious, so I didn't try doing much to stop it.

But thanks for the feedback, I'll keep it in mind if I ever come back to update it.
