Thanks for the kind words!

Yes, the Knights all have stats in the core rules (or even the SRD). I didn't want to just reprint them since I felt they fit decently already, but I agree that makes prep a bit tougher. And yes, the countdowns start at the max, I should have specified that :)

Haha, that question was pretty much the birth of this whole module! I was trying to figure out what their reasons could be, and then I realised that could be left up to the table (who will almost certainly come up with better ideas than whatever I have). Originally the other locations were going to be fewer and more fleshed out, but on a whim, I made them all "short description + some questions", and I think it turned out much better. Feels a lot more daggerheart-y too.

The Owl King is pretty low on HP, yes - that's why the PCs need to be there to save him! I considered buffing him a bit but the stronger he is the less the party is needed. In the end I tried to go for a "powerful but frail ancient creature" sort of vibe .

I'm glad you enjoyed it. Thanks for the advice on visuals, it's my first time trying something like this so it's good to know what works and what doesn't.

Thanks for the good feedback, I'll keep that in mind for the next thing I design!

I'm glad you enjoyed them! Often when I run Daggerheart I get the feedback that that is the part that the players enjoy the most compared to 5e (generally that's the only other system they have experience with). I wanted to really emphasise that for this adventure.

I'm glad you liked the art and layout too - this is the first time I've done anything like this so that's really encouraging to hear :)

I'm glad it felt cohesive to you, it took a while for me to pull it all together!

Thank you!

I know, and I don't think any was used for the game itself. The itch page description used to be pretty blatantly AI generated text, happily it's changed now

(1 edit)

Yes. The original description had a lot of AI tells, and I know far from a perfect tool but Pangram said 100% AI generated. I'm glad after this comment you've changed it to your own words, it is much better now (100% human according to the same tool).

Love the game. Unfortunately the description feels very AI generated and it feels sad compared to such a great game. EDIT: Pierre changed it :)

Loved this game. Really well done

Even if it's not super connected to the theme, it's very fun

very fun game! I'd love to know how you did the artstyle with the pixel shadows and things, I've tried and failed to get that look before

If I develop a game simultaneously for 7drl and Code for a Cause Jam, can I submit it to both? Obviously, the game would be a roguelike, and fit the restrictions of 7drl?

There's a new wave every 10 seconds

such a funny concept. Very well executed, well-balanced, and fun to play.  Art is nice too.

Very cool, it's so much fun to fling the dudes into the air. It would be nice to have an aim-line!

Something special happens when you get 1000 points, but it doesn't really end, you just go for as long as you can

To repeat what the others have said: very nice artstyle.

how far did you get? thanks for the kind words

Hey, my girlfriend and I love this app. Is there any chance of an update with more cards?

Very nice. Solved with vafvtug (rot13)

The hitbox is a round circle :)

I love the graphics! Simple but effective. The food pills were a tiny bit too small for my liking but excellent game. Not using wasd or arrows for controls made it much more interesting. I could only make it to 20

Level 6 is tricky, it requires thinking a bit outside the box. Let's just say that boxes aren't unique in their ability to be pushed...

Yeah, the short time period left quite a few bugs in which you can exploit, so I think the current world record is 6.4s by me

Very nice

this is so much fun

Thank you very much for the kind words! As I think I mentioned in another comment, I think I'll do a post jam with new and improved art, levels, and maybe even a custom level maker. Thanks a lot for the feedback! If you'd like to help, I'd love your opinions on a beta version of the post jam game when I get around to making one, you seem to be pretty knowledgeable in this genre!

Very fun! I was expecting to have manage the cats forever, it was a relief when the ambulance showed up!

Powerups were fun and original, well done!

Very fun little game. Only complaint is it would have been nice for moving sideways to actually move sideways, as opposed to slightly moving up like it does.

Very fun little memory test. Is there an end?

What exactly frustrated you with hitboxes? Thanks for the kind words!

You should be able to use R to restart

Apologies, I did try to explain on the game page. You can use the R key to restart, and the door only opens when all the red blocks are destroyed

Thanks for the kind words! Definitely looking at making a post-jam edition with more levels, mechanics, polish and maybe even a level editor!

Thank you for the kind words! Yeah, I kinda ran out of time for music unfortunately. Planning to make a polished post-jam edition though!
