Nice to see something fresh like Daggerheart, and the premise and structure of this adventure seems great, as well as the dual-countdown chase mechanic that create a cool twist.

I have found a few small areas that could make it smoother, but I never wrote an adventure for D.H. before so I may be wrong, sorry in case.  While the Owl King has full stats, the Knights themselves don't have any. I suppose you can find them in the manual but including basic stats would save GM prep time. Also I didn't understand at which value the 1d20 and 1d12 clocks start (at their maximum value? or they are rolled for a variable head start?)

Thanks for the kind words!

Yes, the Knights all have stats in the core rules (or even the SRD). I didn't want to just reprint them since I felt they fit decently already, but I agree that makes prep a bit tougher. And yes, the countdowns start at the max, I should have specified that :)

I like the content, I like the cover art used, I like that there’s finally a Daggerheart entry to be found. I love the ever-circling questioning of the players to build the world together.

I typed: “Do the KotBB have any motivation to kill the Owl King?” and then realized that that’s one of the questions asked at the very beginning. So good :)

Developer(+1)

Haha, that question was pretty much the birth of this whole module! I was trying to figure out what their reasons could be, and then I realised that could be left up to the table (who will almost certainly come up with better ideas than whatever I have). Originally the other locations were going to be fewer and more fleshed out, but on a whim, I made them all "short description + some questions", and I think it turned out much better. Feels a lot more daggerheart-y too.

I love how the overall module theme is very fantasy coded and it reminds me a magical place in a fable universe in a far far future. I also like how each place is quite evocative and help the player imagine the world and creating the world together in the table. I'm not sure of the Owl King HP being so low, but he has unique features that could aid the players! really interesting module and I could see running this for new players who wanted to get into Daggerheart.

Developer

The Owl King is pretty low on HP, yes - that's why the PCs need to be there to save him! I considered buffing him a bit but the stronger he is the less the party is needed. In the end I tried to go for a "powerful but frail ancient creature" sort of vibe .

I like this lot. The theme is very on-point and the visual design is headed in the right direction to maximize at-table usefulness. Great use of public domain art too (I'm a fellow enthusiast). I think the font choices and formatting are a little bit muddled though. They don't quite work together to create a harmonious visual hierarchy.  I would suggest pairing back a bit on the total number of fonts and font sizes to try and improve that.

I'm glad you enjoyed it. Thanks for the advice on visuals, it's my first time trying something like this so it's good to know what works and what doesn't.

This feels like a very good campaign starter. The open world building questions for the whole table look like a great way to establish the setting. The cover art is very evocative and the general design is pretty good, but the lines dividing the sections and the small caps font are a bit “too clean” compared to the rest.

Developer

Thanks for the good feedback, I'll keep that in mind for the next thing I design!

Really loved the the collaborative worldbuilding questions; these days I've been really into adventures and systems that hand over traditionally GM roles to the players. Great layout and art, too!

Developer

I'm glad you enjoyed them! Often when I run Daggerheart I get the feedback that that is the part that the players enjoy the most compared to 5e (generally that's the only other system they have experience with). I wanted to really emphasise that for this adventure.

I'm glad you liked the art and layout too - this is the first time I've done anything like this so that's really encouraging to hear :)

Very cohesive design and thematic art direct. Seems easy to read and would be useable at the table.

Developer

I'm glad it felt cohesive to you, it took a while for me to pull it all together!

Very nice design and themed well.
