Hi everyone,

We’ve just released the first public demo of Metal Ghost Shell, a single-player cyberpunk stealth game built around stealth, hacking and possession.

You play as Kobe, an operative working alongside Xero, his robotic partner. Xero can infiltrate guards, robots and facility systems through Neural Penetration, allowing you to possess enemies, take control of machines and turn the facility’s own security against it.

Instead of approaching every threat head-on, you can scout ahead with Xero, hijack enemy units, fight using possessed machines, create openings for Kobe and infiltrate as the enemy.

The demo includes:

• Stealth and Shadow Cloak gameplay • Summoning and controlling Xero • Neural Penetration hacking sequences • Enemy possession and infiltration • Combat using hijacked enemies and machines • Security terminals and facility systems to hack • Story-driven visual novel scenes • A complete playable demo mission

This is still an early build, and we’re now getting it into players’ hands for broader testing and feedback.

Gameplay / Demo Trailer:

I’d especially love to hear what people think of the possession and hijacking mechanics, how the stealth gameplay feels, and anything that seems confusing, rough or just needs more work.

Thanks for checking it out!

Hey Smurjo,

Seriously — thank you. This is insanely helpful feedback.

You actually hit things most people don’t mention, especially around the pricing confusion and pacing. That’s gold for me right now.

Good call on the help messages too. They’re supposed to stop quickly, but you should also be able to skip them — if that didn’t feel possible, let me know because that might be a bug on my end.

Also… I’m genuinely impressed you made it to the 3rd vending machine.
I haven’t even properly played that far myself yet — I’ve only simulated it. So that’s awesome to see someone actually push that far.

The layout issue you mentioned there — I’ll fix that shortly.

On the item theme/naming — yeah that’s me having a bit of fun with it. It’s meant to be slightly unhinged and adult-leaning, but I get what you mean about it feeling a bit unclear or disconnected. I’ll tighten that up so it makes more sense while keeping the personality.

Really appreciate the note about the first 30 mins vs after — that lines up with what I’m trying to validate right now.

If you’re up for it, I’d love to keep you as a go-to tester for future builds / mini games in the BuzzHoney universe. No pressure at all — but your feedback is exactly what I need.

I’ll let you know when the next update is live.

Thanks again — this genuinely helps shape the direction.

Hi Everyone,

I'm an indie developer working on VendRunner, a vending machine tycoon game where you run collectible vending machines, set prices, manage inventory, and respond to customer demand as your machines grow.

The machines sell collectible items and novelty merchandise, and the gameplay focuses on balancing pricing, supply, and customer traffic while expanding your vending setup.

The game runs in the browser and works well on mobile, and I’m currently looking for Android players willing to help test the beta and share feedback.

Some things I’m especially interested in feedback on:

  • early game pacing

  • whether pricing decisions feel meaningful

  • UI usability on phone screens

  • anything confusing or frustrating while playing

A new update just went live with a number of improvements based on early tester feedback.

Also worth noting: no account or login is required during the beta, so you can jump straight into the game.

If you have a few minutes to try it out, I’d really appreciate hearing what you think!

Thanks to anyone willing to help test — feedback from real players is incredibly helpful while the game is still evolving.

I've no idea what Im seeing or hearing.
Maybe send some screenshots and gameplay explainers?

Looks cool as!  Like Diablo for kids!
I hope you gain some interest.

Just a general Q re: AI.  Why is there so much hatred for games generated/assisted with AI?

I understand if there may be shit games made with AI.  But there are shit games without using AI over the years too.
Is it the amount of so called 'AI slop' released?

Im sort of in the same boat.  I've got these big ideas, progress on each game has started.  But only 1 playable demo.  But not sure how to get interest in the main game.  Do I just keep doing Dev Logs?  Do ppl bother to read them if there's nothing to play yet?
The small demo is just a Universe teaser.  Its not the main game.

How about adult themes?  What do ppl think about intimate scenes and themes like in Witcher 3?   Nudity and violence?  How do these types of Visual Novels do?

The login was originally added because VendRunner is part of a bigger game universe I'm building. Eventually the money you make here will carry into the main game (MetalGhostShell), so accounts will be needed later for shared progression and cloud saves.

But for a prototype web game that’s clearly unnecessary friction.

So tonight’s patch removes the login wall completely. The game will just start immediately and save locally in the browser during the beta.
