This also happens if you try to pay for something with Stripe. (Paypal is unaffected because it sends you to their website to pay.)
I finished the game and saw the credits, then loaded back.
I fell into the void as well; though my experience might be different. I was crawling in the air vents when I went down a path that appeared to be glitched (I could see through the walls of the store) and when I moved forwards I fell into the void.
