officially the lowest ranked game that can be played (doesn't crash or has issues with loading)
honestly impressive
would play again, 10/10
I like the idea of a time based card game, but I feel like the timer gives me more anxiety rather than adds to the excitability of the gameplay! I can see some people enjoying the fast pace of the cards, but I was struggling to read what they did in the timeframe. I guess you can read the cards ahead of time. Maybe there could be a mode where there's no timer and you can learn what each of the cards to so that when you head into actual fights, you can execute the combos!
The gameplay loop is hectic and addictive! I can see how this can be really fun to play again and again as an arcade game! The music is very upbeat and fits the theme, I could listen to it for a study session. I wish I could see the fireworks explode afterwards,, that could be a cool way to show off how well the player did.
This was very nostalgic! I love the 4-bit color aesthetic (I'm a bit biased as my game takes a similar style). The controls were tight and responded well! There's one or two levels where the controls felt a bit janky but otherwise it was straightforward. The gravity could be adjusted to give more of a window for timing the height for some puzzles. Additionally the resetting could be streamlined by adding a button to insta-reset. Having to go through a menu was a bit grating. Also! Just as a comment for if you update: there should be a way to show the player that the block they generate can't block the eye's gaze.
Overall, I loved the playthrough! Keep developing!
I love the pizza theme! It's a little laggy, but that's probably just my computer with Unity. The artwork and theming (PLUS the comic narrative) are really on brand and cool! I would have loved to see all the assets combined into one level maybe, it felt like the artwork/models were spread out. As for the main gameplay, it was cool to see how the items you deliver could be used for your own benefit. You have to strategize if it's worth using the item or saving it for more deliveries.
I'd say one big fix is to have a really, really basic tutorial level to show each of the mechanics, because it's overwhelming to start off trying everything without learning the mechanics one at a time first.
I can see this turning into a really stylized and wacky game.
I love the artwork and ambiance that the visuals and music provide! It's very dark and brooding. The balance as the game progresses is not that smooth, towards the end it's much less fun as there's a positive feedback loop towards losing (the more you get caught the harder it is to survive, which in turn means you lose more fingers). It's also really slow at the beginning. The combinations of powers are interesting, although with the way it's set up, you can kinda pick any power and it works.
Keep it coming!
