*Totally didn't have my headphones on playing, sorry about that `:D

It was getting a little confusing understanding who was talking, but I did end up beating!

Wow I was not expecting a game like this to pop up in the jam! I honestly was skeptical at first but once I got all the controls down, I was deeply surprised by how good this game was! Boss was really cool and exciting to fight!

I would honestly love a post mortem on the development of this game! I want to know more about y'alls design choices!

Artist here, thank you! I knew by day 4 I wasn't going to be able to get these assets to the degree I wanted them to be so I tried my best hahaha

Artist here, thank you so much I really appreciate your kind words! I had quite a hand full of other assets I made that didn't end up making it into the game but I'm glad what you did see was enjoyable!

Good work setting up a whole 3D scene for your first game jam!

I was really wishing that one of the platforms would have disappeared or have been pulled from underneath us. That would have really made the theme more readily apparent! Keep up the good work though!

A good classic 2D platformer.

For the person that made the music, the melody was very dissonant and pretty hard on the ears. There was definitely something there that could have been really interesting but I feel like it didn't match the same vibes.

Sorry, but unfortunately once I got in game I couldn't do anything except jump, and interact with something. Would love to play again when those are fixed!

I ended up getting stuck unfortunately. The jump animation was surprisingly really good, but didn't feel super great to execute. The game definitely needs more audio. There was way too much empty space.

This game could really do with a tutorial. Wasn't sure of what I was supposed to do, how I kept winning, or what the controls were.

The comedy you have with the commentator's lines genuinely made me laugh so many times! These movement mechanics were so polished and well executed! I'm glad I finally got to play this!

This game suffered from optimization issues making the game fairly laggy, and unfortunately there is no ground check for the jump so you can basically fly across the map avoiding all your challenges. Keep working at it buddy!

This art style was the most amazing part about this game and I was so excited to start playing just from the screenshots! However, I was very lost in gameplay and never really knew what I was doing. Every time I passed a level I had no idea why. Beyond that it looked breathtaking!

Finally got around to finishing this one! Loved the ending and all the abilities that you got at the end!

One of the most difficult yet satisfying puzzle games I've played in a very VERY long time!

This game gave a serious enjoyment from solving each level!

The depth and polish put into this game really blew me away! Each card interaction really tells a whole story!

First bomb game I've seen so far! Could have been more challenging, but that being said I did fail my first time hahaha

Surprisingly touching story, I relate to it very much. There were a few misspellings and grammar issues here and there but thankfully it didn't detract from the experience.

I was so impressed with how much content there was here for a game jam! Really loved the narrative story you developed here. Your whole team should be very proud.

Really cool idea and concept but for me at least, I could not get a hang of the tutorial. The hand drawn instructions confused me. It looked like it was referring to right click but then left click also did something but it was slightly different than right click it felt like. I got stuck at the 3rd obstacle. The feel of the ball guy rolling around, bouncing, and carrying their momentum around with them felt really good when I was getting the hang of it though!

I am shocked at how much stuff this game has in it! By all means this game is huge! Very fun to play, though nothing really prepared me for what I was jumping into the first time playing. I seemed to pick up on things pretty quickly thankfully though! Amazing work!

After downloading the game, it said it's missing some files unfortunately.

Ahhh I know :'( I couldn't get the inputs working on the web build. They work on the windows build though!

Ahh yeah sorry about that. Something about the web build didn't like the input system in Unity. The downloaded version worked last time I tested it though!

Not gonna lie, this is one of the coolest games I've played so far!! Such high quality!

You really nailed that mix of frantic and funny!

My Review

The Good:

I think this game has a decent amount of potential! Mechanics and subject matter could lead to some fun chaotic zaney fun similar to something like Overcooked. So I think you've got something good on your hands here! I saw your latest devlogs so I know you're already thinking about some of the issues I planned on bringing up here. So as of this play test I really like where this game could go! I also think you're presentation of this landing page is waaaaay above the quality I usually see on here! That made me want to play your game so much more!

The critique:

While the game concept is great, there are some things holding it back:

  • The lack of instructions at the beginning lead to some friction at the start where I didn't know what to do.
  • The lack of sound left the world feeling void of any vibe to tell me what the mood is. (Is this casual packing? Is this frantic mayhem?)
  • I personally didn't like the feeling of sprinting with L3, kinda felt awkward running around and holding the stick down.

Overall I can't wait to see where this project goes! Keep up the amazing work!!

Wow this was an awesome little game! The opening sequence, the sound FX, and the educational aspect of the game were all so well done!

Honestly really amazing concept! These endless runner games can be pretty fun and I feel like you introduced an interesting twist to them. Unlocking new abilities the further you go is an awesome idea. I will say though that the game might need to be balanced a bit more. I got pretty far and things started to fall apart for me.

I got a score of 861 and I got to a distance of 551.55m!
My speed was 93.89 and things started to struggle to spawn in on time! Although I did like that things felt like they were spawning more distanced from each other as I was going faster so I wasn't hitting everything!
My jump force was 77.08 which meant that with a single jump I sometimes wouldn't see my character for a while! Maybe if when they jumped that high they could be in a totally different area that would be really interesting!

Anyways Loved the game, keep up the great work!

The controls were a little hard to use but I'm so impressed with the camera movements and the AI! Those really made this game interesting! I will say that when the player was behind any walls it felt unfair to get caught cause I didn't know what was going on back there! I'd love to see you do more with this!

Nice little game to practice your game dev skills!! Keep it up man!

Thanks! I'm so glad you did!

Thank you so much for the support!

This game had a really good balance of difficulty and enjoyment! I really had a fun time playing! Thank you!

Yeah, I first played it on Google Chrome and I tried again on Microsoft Edge and both browers have the same issues. I'm on PC, 16GB ram, intel i7 3.60 ghz

Yeah of course, with every run of the game I clicked the start game button which spawned me into a world. The world didn't have any thing to interact with. I could only Jump, Crouch, and go into an birds-eye-view. I couldn't notice anything on the map from here either.

I think the game might be bugged. I spawn into an empty world with noting to do.
