Thanks for playing! You're right, hiring more gnomes should feel more rewarding. We actually planned some bonuses for working gnomes, but they didn't make it into this update. We'll keep working on the balance and adding more content. Thanks for the feedback!

We’re making a game about managing lazy gnomes in a Christmas gift factory.

As more systems came together, running the factory and choosing upgrades started competing for attention. We’ve now separated them: manage the factory during the day, then hire, research, and upgrade afterward.

We’re curious: does this break feel like a welcome breather, or does it interrupt the flow?

We’ll share further changes and what we learn from feedback in this thread.

In Get to Work, Gnomes! Christmas Factory, manage your mischievous workers, keep gifts moving, and spread enough happiness to save Christmas!

Run the factory during the day, then plan upgrades for tomorrow. Every attempt helps you grow—even when things don’t go to plan.

Our latest update brings a new daily rhythm, Santa license challenges, and more ways to build your factory.

Glad you had fun! And really happy you liked the OST :)

Thanks for catching those issues too — we’ll check the music loop and the gnomes getting stuck together.

And yeah, having to type the factory name every time is definitely unnecessary. We’ll fix that!

Thanks for the feedback!

A shoot-em-up sequel sounds dangerously tempting. Same setting, same troublesome gnomes... We’ll keep that idea in mind.

We plan to keep making games with small characters, so please stay tuned!

Thanks for the feedback!
That makes sense. The web version can be hard to play on smaller screens right now, especially with the text size and the Santa cursor getting in the way.
Until we fix this, playing in fullscreen should make it a bit more comfortable. We’ll do our best to improve it as soon as possible.
Thanks again for trying the web version and letting us know.

A new playtest build of Get to Work, Gnomes! Christmas Factory, a management sim where you run a Christmas gift factory staffed by lazy gnomes, is now up.

Your goal: produce gifts until December 25th and hit your target happiness. The gnomes keep slacking off, so catch them, throw them back to work, and grow your factory.

This build adds catch & throw gnomes, a player level/XP system, and a tutorial & daily quests, making it clearer what to do and giving the core loop more depth. It also includes achievement and UI improvements along with various bug fixes.

This is still an early playtest build, so expect some rough edges and bugs. Give it a try and leave your thoughts in the comments — it'll be a huge help for the next build!

Hey there!

We're Tiny Workers, a small indie team and today we're thrilled to share the very first playable build of <<Get to Work, Gnomes! Christmas Factory>>

Get to Work, Gnomes! Christmas Factory steam

Get to Work, Gnomes! Christmas Factory is a Christmas gift factory sim where your workers are gnomes — lazy, unpredictable, and absolutely terrible at their jobs. Grab them, drag them back to work, fix broken machines, and craft as many gifts as possible before Christmas Day.

This playtest covers the first 7 days. It's a soft open, so bugs may appear.

Your feedback is what makes this better. Follow us for updates on the way to Steam!
