I haven't played yours yet, but this trailer looks fun and is edited well.

Overall, this is a fun board game demo with a lot of potential.

The story is currently a single background per chapter with a lot of different characters and dialogue. I'm not great at giving advice on story presentation, but I think this could be improved. As it is, I found myself mostly skimming the text as I clicked through, and it didn't add much to the game for me. I'd rather get back to the gameplay after just a few lines between battles. Maybe a small map where you choose where to go or who to fight next could help break things up.

I also think it would be really cool if the game pieces were eventually replaced with 3D figures of the monsters instead of checker pieces with letters on them. That would add a lot more personality to the board.

The Dark tiles don't seem to give Dark monsters the buff described in How to Play. Since Dark monsters also can't Fuse, this removes one of the main reasons to choose them.

Towards the end of the match, the opponent also stops summoning monsters even though they have plenty of mana. At the same time, I can't summon most of the cards in my hand despite having plenty of mana myself. There doesn't seem to be any explanation for why this happens.

Overall, I enjoyed it and I think there's a good game here. The core board game mechanics are fun, and I'd like to see how it develops.

I like the idea, but there needs to be better instructions. I keep running out of resources before I figure out what I am supposed to be doing next.
The economy feels too strict. I used up all of the hydrogen my first playthrough before I realized that I needed to make H2. Since then, I've been too strict about only extracting exactly what I need for the next thing to be unlocked. Then I barely have enough P to collect the next thing.

Update: I did eventually finish!

The description says there is a browser demo, but I didn't see it on the page.

The AI generated Code is not shown on the AI disclosure section under More Info.

Thanks for the feedback! I’ve added difficulty options with a more forgiving Easy mode and custom settings.

Thanks again for playing!

Thanks for the feedback! I’ve added difficulty options with a more forgiving Easy mode, and starting HELIOS now unlocks all of the other systems. You no longer have to clear HELIOS before you can explore the rest of the game.

Thanks again for playing!

Thanks, Atlas! Your feedback led me to rework the UI scaling for v0.2. The interface now scales automatically for different screen sizes, and I've also changed the browser version to launch in fullscreen instead of playing embedded.

Thanks again for pointing it out!

🎃 I scored 52632 at HEX DERBY — 5 rounds of haunted speed betting (🪙258 × ⚡204 speed bonus). Beat that if your soul's fast enough.

Fun game.
I had to zoom in quite a bit in my browser, consider adding the full screen option.
The smallest two rutabaga  are hard to tell apart so I kept dropping them in the wrong spot.

This is a fun puzzle game. I got stuck on level 8 and kept going splat.
I think this would be even better if you added touch screen support for mobile. It is sometimes hard to move the mouse quickly and accurately enough to get to all of the pull tabs.

I made a video of my 3rd playthrough, I again stayed inside the entire time and all 4 still survived on Bitter difficulty. Is the family supposed to be following me outside? I tried fighting the enemies outside the second play though, but always just had my light go out and had to slow walk back to the house. Could you make a video of how it is intended to be played?

Fun game, I just wish the zombie could move faster, he is not fast enough when food drops on the opposite side of the screen, limiting the potential combo that you can get.

Took me a minute to figure out how it works, but then it was rather simple. It needs at least a few more and/or longer levels. It fells like I just played the tutorial to what could be a fun game.

This is quite impressive.

What I am supposed to be doing? I went out and collected all the things, bought the 3 upgrades, and just stayed inside the house the last night waiting out the clock as I didn't know what else to do.

Just submitted my game, but will definitely be checking out TinCLE for the next jam.
