The Biggest Challenge
The breakthrough was splitting the work between two Claude sessions with a written plan in between. One Claude worked as my producer. It turned my ideas into concept images and short batch briefs, and I approved each one before any code was written. Claude Code then built that batch in my game folder, tested it in headless Firefox, took its own screenshots and wrote a handoff. The producer Claude read the results straight from the folder and gave me a short playtest list.

AI Tools Used
- Claude Code wrote and tested all of the game's code.
- Claude in a claude.ai Project planned the batches, drew the concept images and the SVG art.

Areas Where AI Was Used
- Code:all of the JavaScript, written by Claude Code from briefs I approved. That covers the pop-up book, the rolling physics, the pull-tabs, the 12 levels and their star times, the carving page, the menus and the automated Firefox tests.
- Images:all of the cut-paper art, drawn by Claude as SVG. That covers the base asset sheet (made before the jam, as the rules allow), the rutabaga lantern, the carving parts, the background props, the logo intro (traced from my own logo), and the itch cover and banner.
- Sound:every sound is synthesized in the browser by code Claude wrote. There are no audio files.

A really fun puzzle game💖

And the graphic design is incredibly thoughtful. It's wonderful. This looks like a commercial game.

Though, it makes me wish I had two mice. I was playing on my computer, but I think I could've played it even better on a tablet.

Anyway, I had a really great time!! 😆

I think this game is designed for mobile, not for PC, but I still like it.

I got stuck on level 8, and it was hard to play with mouse, maybe the page effect need some polish, but it works, I really liked that you can customize your pumpkin, I like the concept of being a book, and you pull the tabs.

(Sorry if my English is not good, I speak Spanish)

This is a fun puzzle game. I got stuck on level 8 and kept going splat.
I think this would be even better if you added touch screen support for mobile. It is sometimes hard to move the mouse quickly and accurately enough to get to all of the pull tabs.

Really enjoyed this one! The pull-tab picture book idea is so cute, and the mechanics are straightforward without ever getting boring — that’s a harder balance than it looks.

My pumpkin did go puff on the mill a few times, so some levels took me several attempts to get right ⭐ I think I’ll go back and three-star everything, I want all the carvings. Great work!

Thanks! Yes, the Mill was an issue that I tried to address but didn't have time to fully fix it but I'm glad you enjoyed it.

The world of this interactive picture book is wonderful.

The consistent art style reflects a high level of technical skill.

The gameplay feels similar to the Japanese toy "Athletic Land," which brought back childhood memories.

It is an accessible game, yet the star-based system offers plenty of depth for those who want to really dive in.

I am thoroughly satisfied.

Thank you! I wanted to be extra creative with this theme so I brainstormed different styles from clay to toys but then I stumbled upon this "paper cut" style then I thought about making it like a children book. It took a bit to get it right but I am happy the concept was well understood.

I like the art style. Very cozy and cute.

Super fun! I just cleared the game.

Levels 11 and 12 were pretty tough, but I managed to make it through! They definitely required some precise timing and tight controls.

I really loved the cozy, picture-book style with its hand-drawn, paper-cut art—it had so much charm and made for a wonderful time.

 Nice game!

Thanks! I didn't want it to be too easy (that was my flaw from a previous Jam entry) so I wanted add some difficulty into the mix. But I also struggled with those two levels!
