First off, Loading screen is amazing. The music is so chill. What I liked the most was the UI as it felt unique to the game.

What happened to the Discord server?

Such a wonderful art direction you went for. I truly liked the story and the whole atmosphere.

Than you!

Thank you for pointing that out. The game fetched its pictures one at a time, waiting for each before asking for the next, and loaded its code as 90 separate files. On a fast computer with the files already in the system, I never noticed. Over the internet, every one of those little waits adds up to several seconds of black screen. But I have fixed it so you should be able to get in without any issues. Thanks again and I'm sorry for the inconvenience.

Hey everyone! I make small web games under Cocolito Collective (https://cocolitocollective.itch.io/). Thanks for the invite to say hi.

I don’t use a game engine at all. Everything I make is built straight for the browser in plain web code, so it runs right on the page with nothing to download.

Here’s how I usually work. Every project starts with a handful of concept cards, and each one is paired with an art style I’ve already studied and added to my own style library. Once I pick one, I draw the first set of assets in code, so the art and the game share the same look from the start. The build itself is AI-assisted with Claude, and I playtest in Firefox the whole way through. I try to get the core loop feeling fun before I spend more time on the looks.

I don’t have an idea for this one yet. Humans VS AI is a fun theme for someone who builds next to an AI every day, so I’m curious where it’ll take me.

thank you for your helpful insight. i have made some adjustments to the issues you pointed out. once again, I appreciate the time you took to play.

The more jams joined, the more i learn! lol

I must say this is a really well polished game. The assets and music were wonderful. Its the only game in the Jam my wife wanted to try out because of the art direction. The black and white pictures really make it a complete game. Great job.

I really enjoyed the concept! It was fun having to type to attack and the enemy creature sprites were well designed though may need some more polish.

Thanks! Im glad the art style conveyed well.

Thanks! I'm glad the Blueprint style held well as I wasn't too sure. If I had more time I would have added more levels but due to a family emergency I had to ship it with only 3. Thanks for playing!

Thank you and it is a bug that sometimes appears. Unfortunately, due to a family emergency I was not able to flesh out this particular bug. Sorry about that!

(1 edit)

It was fun, I liked that you went deep into the survival aspects and obviously used lots of crafting elements. It was challenging, I did end up getting mauled by wolves a few times, and even more by a bear + wolves, definitely don't go out wandering at night. The music was a nice touch. Sometimes, when I was near some object (I think) a random "song" would briefly play then the main music would play, I'm not sure if I had found something of interest or what. For example, it played when I was near the crashed airplane, once only. Then when I wandered further north. Overall, a like it and it definitely a game I would play more.

P.S Also dont drink the river water!

The idea is fun! But it does stutter quite a bit on web and mobile. Overall fun game and well executed.

Cute scenes and artwork were top notch! And gameplay fun.

Great asset cohesion! The gameplay was fun and the Rutabaga implementation was great.

The core gameplay loop was fun though I wasnt very good at it. I like the effects as well - looked well polished!

Thanks! I didn't want it to be too easy (that was my flaw from a previous Jam entry) so I wanted add some difficulty into the mix. But I also struggled with those two levels!

Thank you! I wanted to be extra creative with this theme so I brainstormed different styles from clay to toys but then I stumbled upon this "paper cut" style then I thought about making it like a children book. It took a bit to get it right but I am happy the concept was well understood.

Thanks! Yes, the Mill was an issue that I tried to address but didn't have time to fully fix it but I'm glad you enjoyed it.

Very well-made! The concept and delivery is great.

I enjoyed playing very much. I liked the gameplay loop.

Such an original idea! Great job

I liked the assets! Plus the dialogue boxes were well-made!

All of the assets are great! And the character design is adorable. Really good job.

The assets are really well made! I like how they were cohesive which at times is the hardest part. Gameplay loop was fun. Great job!

Thanks! I have three Claude profile to try out the game - Casual/Mid/Pro and they also struggled at higher level! I tried myself and it does get hard which why I added some more "indicators" of where the ants were going and who had a piece. With more time I would have balanced it for sure. Thank you for playing.

Such a well crafted concept! I love the pixel art style but the overall gameplay is entertaining. And such a cute cat!

I enjoyed it though I'm not good at it! I liked the UI and UX, you did well in your fine-tuning. Its always fun trying new genres!

Thank you so much! I didn't have as much time as I wanted to make more levels but I will definitely revisit it in the future to add some more fun stuff.

I liked it! Had a good bit of challenge.

Very well made! I liked the wide array of assets which were well-made.

I love the entire concept of the game ! Pebble's carrying Puffless was such a cute touch.

I love the animations and level selector. Great job

I love the concept of having both work together! Great job

I like the concept and assets!

Very nice! I liked the ambience and gameplay. Lots of fun mini-games

Really polished and fun!

I liked it but my wife really wanted to try out once she saw the assets and liked it too. Overall well made, though its hard!
