Love it!, clever idea!

Developer

thank but it have much to be polish.

gotten a few feed back and seeing DG playthrough was much needed to improve.  will ask you try when it is polished

I really enjoyed the concept! It was fun having to type to attack and the enemy creature sprites were well designed though may need some more polish.

Developer

polishing it the last few day.

just never update as it is rating period.

i am going to send it to "improve your game" jam, so that would be the polish version.

Using words to cast spells is an interesting idea! The typing-based combat wasn’t quite my thing, but it was nice to try a different take on crafting. Thanks for sharing your game!

Developer

crafting word was the first thing that came to mind  for me😄

the art and animations really took me out of the game. I think it’s a good concept but just not fun, I’m not sure why change the qwerty style keyboard into something that is really aggravating to use.

Developer

to stop having people to keep typing the same word by muscle memory 😅

lol that’s true, but then I would try to just make the needed text more complex. But that’s just my own preference! It’s a good concept

Developer

i watch DG playthrough . he spam "flame" and "punch".

i wanted it to be one where the player will be kept on their toe to think of words.  sort of like scrabble?

but encounter rate, terrain and puzzles. those really drag the pace, so reworking those.

I tried all sorts of weird words until I did sword and that worked then I noticed you have a hint about cut and hit so I just kept using those. I think you have good bones here just needs some more brainstorming

Developer

please bounce your idea.

i am polishing it even as we speak as i am sending it to a "improve your game" jam after this jam end.

I appreciate a lot of the nice things you did with the logs to give history to compare different word choices and the ability to type any word that fits the action.  The game was fun at first but quickly became tedious.  I think it was especially the random encounters that made it tedious as I would be in the middle of a push the block puzzle and then be interrupted to go fight.  And I knew the clue squares were there, but didn't want to risk the extra movement to go over to them.  Here is my playthrough, i got stuck at the ember bricks (you already gave the answer in discord, just posting here for posterity).

i saw you cross river and that when i knew i f**k up.

cause when i play, i was able to take it repeating 4 motion but looking at you play , it was obvious it was repetitive, so i will change certain word can go over more tile.

the random encounter, i am also pulling it down a bit especially in tower.

the tower portion also show human mind work. i put element puzzle in too early.

something really need non AI and non developer but players to see it.

it is a good learning exp.

Very polished, love the music and art especially! I'm intrigued by the way you used AI for it with the team of agents. I've heard of that approach but never had much success with it myself (this time I used 2 "agents" in parallel, Lane P for Physics, Lane W for World, but they were still mostly generalists). How did you like it? How did you ensure each lane's context focus and specialization in its particular area if you don't mind sharing?

basic is this.

after that, decide on game. ask for anymore agent needed.

then upon finish a  version you deem sufficient, ask for a panel to judge it ( gameplay, jam theme and restriction and other portion you deem necessary).

after that it is a long grind.
