Hi everyone! 👋

I’m developing 2D RPG game and I’m looking for a pixel artist to create game-ready tilesets and maps for the game.

Style:

A cozy fantasy village in detailed top-down 3/4 pixel art, with lush greenery, stone cliffs, warm glowing lanterns and lit windows, plus a touch of magic such as glowing portals and rifts. The attached image shows the mood and level of detail I’m going for.

Central plaza with a large tree, market stalls and lamps

Keepers’ Guild hall, chapel, blacksmith, shop and 5–7 cottages

Ponds with docks, paths, fences, flowers and props

A glowing portal or rift at the edge of town

Entrance gate and 2–3 exits to other areas

About 60×40 tiles

Deliverables:

A tileset (32×32) of reusable tiles: grass, paths, water edges, cliffs, fences and so on

Buildings and props as separate sprites on transparent backgrounds

Day and night versions, or separate light sprites

Nice to have: animated water, lamp flicker, portal swirl, chimney smoke

Future work:

If we work well together, there will be more: building interiors (Guild hall, shop, blacksmith, cottages), plus forest, dungeon and rift zones.

Payment:

Paid project, [budget / per-tile or per-map rate, or “open to quotes”], paid [per milestone / 50% upfront]. I’m happy to start with a small paid test, such as one cottage and a few ground tiles.

Requirements:

A portfolio that includes tile-based maps or tilesets, not only illustrations

All art original, with full commercial rights transferred
