The lightning is amazing and narrative is well written, The only pointer I have is that in the end I did not feel like a closure I am not sure why, my guess is
either: Because we can't sit on the bench in the end and player *sighs*
or: Because the player(character we control) does not have his own closure/story/goal in game.
Simply amazing, The only suggestions I have are:
- Don't reset turret aim and bomb timer, if we don't succeed(Only reset when R to reload is pressed)
- Negative time causing implosion instead that will attract other bomb towards the point of implosion
- Bigger levels with more turrets (Not too big but just enough for you needing to scroll around a bit), This would specially benefit from point 1.
(apart from more levels)
The mechanic is their, more variations could help.
- maybe you can make a tile, that has some health, like you can only pick same tile thrice before it breaks auto.
- Bomber man like Tile that you can place and it will detonate nearby stuff
- wall tile to build your own wall? to stay safe from attack
- bounce/jump tile?
I really liked the idea, I felt the implementation is lacking a little but it can easily be a fun little game,
Personally I would suggest
- Adding pick-able powerups instead of the screen with 3 options you just pick the power up
- Indicator of the outer tiles going out when they disappear
- Marion like jump on top to kill fish?
These are just suggestions you know what's best for your game though
I really like the idea , although I got stuck at Fire Exitngusher,
I think it would be pretty cool if you had to replay the game to help out future members
for example as a cat you need to knock over the fire extinguisher for mom to later pick it up or knock the soccerball from high up shelf so the kid can play with it later something like that.
