Female Rockstar is back after a long break. v1.7 completes Year 1 and rebuilds the whole game, and there's now a free demo you can play in the browser. You can read the full story of the update in the latest devlog.

This thread is the place to talk about the game. I read everything.

- the scene (a few words about what was happening is enough)

- what went wrong (wrong picture, wrong name on a dialogue line, a missing word, a button that does nothing…)

- your browser, and whether you play the browser demo or the downloaded full game

A screenshot helps a lot.

🎸 YEAR 2 WISHES

Year 2 takes the story back to Rome. Who do you want to see again? Antonio, Kelly, Cara, Sophia, The Chariots…? Which kind of scenes do you want more of: music, romance, drama, travel?

❓ QUESTIONS

- The game shows no pictures or music: Unzip the download first, then open index.html. Opening it from inside the zip doesn't work.

- My save is gone: Saves live in your browser. Use the same browser, and don't clear its site data.

- Can I carry my demo save over to the full game? Unfortunately not. The demo runs on itch.io and the full game runs from your computer, so the browser treats them as two different places.

Hey everyone!

I’m thrilled to share that Female Rockstar is making the jump from a browser-based experience to Ren'py! This change will help us deliver a smoother, more immersive journey while staying true to the original vibe of the game. 🖤

Why the Move? Ren'py brings a lot to the table in terms of storytelling and player engagement, which fits perfectly with the rockstar path our character is following. This shift enables me to refine dialogues, improve UI elements, and add new story branches that make the game feel even more alive. However, in line with the original design, we’ll be sticking with static sprites rather than deep animations. This approach will keep the story-focused feel intact while ensuring a high-quality visual experience.

What’s New? Aside from technical upgrades, we’re adding a few fresh scenes and dialogue options to enhance the story. With Ren'py, we can polish pacing and add background details to create a more immersive world without compromising the familiar static-sprite aesthetic.

What to Expect Next? Early Access version is released. The development is well underway! I’ll be sharing more updates on gameplay improvements and the timeline for the Ren'py release in upcoming posts. Thank you all for your amazing support on Female Rockstar! Your enthusiasm drives me forward, and I’m excited to bring this new chapter to life. 🎶

Thanks for the feedback. I'm aware about the white text issue. I will fix it with next update. My first goal is to reach at the end of the browser version with renpy. If people will be interested on the game i will make new chapters. 

Thanks for the questions. I'm not sure about the system in itchio about future updates. I don't want you to buy again. It's my first time about it. 

I'm planning to make full release at the end of browser version. If people like it and buy it i can continue to give more content that's why i'm selling it at the minimum price itchio allows.

First i wanted to appologize for the long wait. There was a catastrophic earthquake in Turkey -where i live. We all affected by it. For me it was not physically but metally. So i couldn't have time or energy to work on the game. I didn't want you to wait long so i made a small update.

I have just opened the Episode 1 to public access. 

You can download and play now. This part contains previous parts and a visit to Florence.
