How do one decide if the writing and characterbuilding of a game isnt for them before playing it in the first place tho?
Thats such a strange and lame thing to react with on any form of media critique , regardless on ones own stance to the piece of media. And ending this yapping with "im just yapping, everyone can have another reading" after the whole motivation of your reply simply was to make someone regret to voice their opinion is just another level of cringe.
Dunno if I would call Eternum the pinnacle of AVNs, even if its without doubt one of the better ones of the current generation.
To add to the list:
Stormside and That new Teacher have both a lot of overlapping checkboxes with CC and have decent to good writing and animation. Stormside is on Hiatus for now tho, but has a good amound of content if i remember right.
Twisted Memories fits also great in, but has this whole bimbo thing going on in its aesthetic, that can throw off some people. And the last update is like nearly two years ago so get ready to be hurt.
I throw 30 days in too, but I havent looked into it for some time. Its more on the corruption side of things than anything.
Also, as always I put Lessons in love on recommendationlists for AVNs, because its probably the best and most uniquce thing the genre has produced, but its for once not for everyone and there is an debate if it is a porn game at all.
I would say that there is an natural overlap in personality, simply because "Girl who explores her submissive side" is kind of the essence of the whole cast. Thats imho less of an shortcomming but the core fantasy.
Its probably fair to point out that there is seemingly no woman in the whole town that isnt at least subconsciously a sub (or the big bad evil) from an general writing perspective, but in the end of the day, CC is a fetish game about male domination in an somewhat realistic environment (as in, thats not a unhigend anime world).
Bit late and you seem you found the answer anyway, but: Deepness at this state surly isnt given, but this would be crazy given how long both sibling-parents are around.
Mechanical its on pair (not without nitpicking ofc, imho its really silly that something like a scratch dosnt heals of itself and, as stated in my OP, im on war with the seedsystem), and I would say that menu navigation is a lot more intuitive than at least unreal world (what, frankly isnt that hard tho. My only struggles so far are me problems like apparently no longer seeing "or" and "and" in recipes if not color-coded).
Aside vom my NASA-level struggle of finding water, I think many of my issues (as in, lack of recipes/alternatives. Hunting for a dead tree everytime the character oversleept the, very cool, chance to rekindle the campfire is for example really annoying) will be resolved in a few months.
Neat Concept, there are way too few games in the whole Unreal World/CDDA line right now.
Some thoughs after the first handful of attempts:
I really like the control pattern and what you did with menu UI, really clean so far and just painful enough. ;)
What irritates me (and let this put on pause for the moment): For a game that suggest that you interact with it right from the start, like, preferable from the first few minutes after start, all seeds I tried so far seemingly hate to create bodies of water of any form.
I dropped a follow for now and wish you the best of luck with the project for now.
Lessons in love is probably the best written AVN out there, but due to its topic and the fact that its not really a sex game in the classic sense its not for everyone.
Ripples and Thirty days where kinda good written for the average story driven AVN the last time ive checked in and if you can overlock some hard incel-vibes, Twisted Memories has its moments too.
Catched me by surprise how good it is so far. Writing is far above the average Porn VN, The girls are lovable and interactions feel believable, jokes are on point. And there is an understanding about SM that really goes over the head of the majority of kink games.
I kinda divided about how freaking fast the relationships developed, but this obviously work in favor for the dense narration.
What dosnt are the elbow skins. Poor girls really need some creme :D
