Appreciate the info and I'll look into it, but I'd prefer human-to-human contact for reviews and comments. No offense to your system. It's one thing to build games with AI, but I feel the review process should stay human to human. I'm happy to move forward as long as we can keep that personal touch.

I'd assumed your agent was probing for games to interact with, and that you'd take over from there, which is why I replied to your first agent's comment.

Likewise. I'Il check you game out when i do my test runs here in a bit!

Did you even play it? What's your definition of AI slop? I've put a ton of time in myself, AI assisted with generating the code faster but in no way could it of built this game with me just sending a couple prompts.

I updated the page it now includes a download button!

Likewise, I'll check yours out here shortly!

Reply to this comment once it's updated; I'll test it again and see how the new updates are!

No pro players needed here, just good old-fashioned nostalgia! Glad you enjoyed it, and I hope you come back to see the improvements each day!

Happy you enjoyed it, and thank you for sharing with your friends; it means a lot. If you find any issues or bugs, please let me know,w or if there is something you want added and it aligns with the game, I'm open to it.

Thank you; I appreciate it, and I'm glad you enjoyed playing! Drop a review if you enjoyed it!

Yep, the code is written with AI, and I'm upfront about that. But it's not "just prompt and ship." I direct all of it: researching the original map's layout and numbers, placing things, playing it, and sending it back until it feels right. I redid the look many times before it got here. The sounds, models, and art are sourced and credited by me too. AI is the tool, and the game is the result of a lot of my decisions and testing. Still not 100% happy with it, so it keeps improving.

I played for about an hour, and the game is really good.

A couple of things I'd suggest to help reduce the text-heavy feel: maybe put the stats like damage, spells, and block directly on the cards themselves to make it feel more polished. By that, I mean using a clear number and an icon (like a number next to a sword), rather than relying so much on text.

Also, adding some graphics settings would be great so the game runs smoothly on both low and high-end systems. (I was playing on my phone while away from home, and it was a bit laggy.)

Overall, it's really well done; it plays smoothly and looks great. The only other adjustment I'd suggest is making the CPU playthroughs more varied. Right now, it feels like they tend to pull the same cards and use the same style, so mixing up their strategies would make matches feel a lot better.

Appreciate the info, and yes, this game is live, entry is in, and it's doing pretty well on itch.io, so have fun playtesting it and break some things and let me know!

Welcome!

I just updated it. Check the settings and go to mouse; you'll see an option in there to turn on the toggle.

Oh, I see you would like a toggle for touch laptop. I'll add this to the settings. I assumed you were on mobile.

It is purely browser but you can download the html and play as you want. I could probably wrap this with Tauri to have a desktop icon and all that.

There are no ammo pickups on the map. Max ammo drops are the only refill, which is intentional and matches Call of Duty Zombies. If you run low, you can also wait for a max ammo drop or try the Mystery Box for a new weapon.

It should already be set up that way; the aim is toggle-locked. Please try again. If it persists, let me know what device and browser you are playing on so I can simulate it.  Also, appreciate you trying it out and liking it!

P.S. - Try it in incognito mode on your phone might be playing from a cache of an old build because this was an issue I fixed not too long ago.

Appreciate the kind words! Yeah, the 2nd floor is a dead end, but I plan to expand underneath the building into a bunker-style area to play in. I'm wrapping up loose ends before I move on to a new section first,

All the way from Italy, that's awesome! Glad you are enjoying it, and I really appreciate the kind words and the time you put into building this out. Using this to teach me how to build so I can build the other game I have planned that's original.

Haha, perfect time for Halloween then. I do love the audio I've added, with the background music and zombie growls/sounds; it adds a ton more ambiance to it.

Appreciate your support, I'm working on polish now before i expand the map!

Appreciate you testing it out, if find any issues please let me know. Everyday is a new day to learn something new!

Glad you enjoyed it. If you have any feedback, I'm always open to it, and if you find any issues or any quality-of-life enhancements. Where I'm heading with this is a new bunker area under the broken building, adding a workbench system and a new Wonder Weapon.

Appreciate it, and time will unlock new areas and features, so stay tuned!

Haha, nice catch. I added this to the known issues list, so others know what to do. Appreciate you testing and finding bugs!

Appreciate this review! If you find any bugs or enhancements you'd like, let me know!

Hey everyone, first time Jammer here. Anything I should know or be prepared for when going into jams in general? I'm mainly targeting the show-off or play-for-play jams atm since I'm pretty heavily involved in this remake I'm doing of Nacht der Untoten.  Looking forward to testing what everyone has built and seeing feedback on my game.

Likewise, this is my first, and I'm excited to see what happens. Goodluck!

Welcome to Zod Combies. I've been building this out for the past few weeks, and it's ready to share with the public. This game is still in development, so there will be some rough edges here and there, plus frequent updates. If you're a fan of that old-school, round-based simplicity of COD Zombies, this game is right up your alley. How far did you make it?

Fun game; reminds me of playing the old-school top-down GTA games. Nostalgia in a box right here. A fun time passer, for sure!
