The creepy ambiance, spooky skybox, eerie sound design, and well-executed jumpscares give this horror experience an awesome unsettling feel! Pulling off a working decision-based horror game with custom UI effects in just 4 days is a huge achievement.

A few collision, lighting, and QoL polish items to target for your post-jam build:

- Collision & Level Boundaries: Re-bake the navmesh and clean up the house entrance geometry so players don't get stuck in doors or clip out of bounds (saving them from needing the menu respawn button).

- UI Menu Locking: Fix the UI state handling when opening the pause menu mid-game so menu overlays don't break or overlap with gameplay UI.

- Ambient Lighting: Brighten up the darkest interior corners slightly or add a faint local light source so players can navigate without missing key interactive objects.

Great horror vibe and solid foundation for 4 days of work! If you get a free minute, I'd really appreciate your feedback and rating on my solo jam entry as well: /jam/brackeys-16/rate/4953523

Thank you so much for this comment! I am happy to try your game! Sadly I didn't have time for bugfixing

it got an unsettling feel to it, it gave me the creeps, like.others said it still needs some polish here and there, but overall a pretty solid submission, good job!!

Developer

Thanks bro! I'm happy that you liked it! :D

So a couple things: great UI effect, love it, great ambience (sound especially). The jumpscares get you the first 2/3 times, it is well executed. The theme interpretation is nice, liked the twist. Now this game still needs a lot of polish, especially with collisions and UI bugging out if you open the menu. Feels nice, just needed some more playtesting I feel. But great job!

Developer

Thanks, i created the game in 4 days so I didn't have time to playtest and fix the bugs, but thanks for the reply!

Unfortunately I kept getting stuck on the geometry, and I think that I accidentally sequence broke because of the door a few time, but the first jump scare did get me.

I had a few collision bugs, mainly getting stuck at the entrance of the house, but the spooky ambiance is on point, the menu and the skybox are really nice. Maybe a bit too dark in some places but nothing game breaking!

Developer

Thanks for feedback! Sadly I couldn't fix the collision and the lightning.

Wow, I liked the menu effect. I also gathered that it’s essentially a game about making decisions based on trust; although there were some collision issues inside the house, I assume that’s why there’s a respawn option in the menu.

Developer

I couldn't fix that collision bug sorry. But I hope you liked it!
