The mix is so lovely, you feel the fulness of the track at every moment, not one dead bit ! I love the composition and orchestration too, good mix of textures, synths and accoustic. My favorite is the march towards because boom boom reign supreme.

Description
Game Description:
A Spirit's Reprise is a two-button rhythm game in the vein of Rhythm Heaven and Rhythm Doctor with additional storytelling and lore that glues the game together. The player takes control of Ysadora, an adventurer who finds an instrument only heard about in legends, one haunted by it's owner's spirit. Ysadora must learn the songs of the old world in order to fight off monsters harassing her town.
Music Description:
The genres we draw upon for this EP reflects the convention of rhythm games with diverse genres. In particular, we draw upon and blend orchestral arrangements, electronic music, and rock music to expand the world of our rhythm game.
01 - Grimoire of New discoveries:
This track serves to be part of a transition scene where Ysadora acquires the instrument, thus venturing upon the surprises of the old world.
02 - From Mystical Depths:
This track serves as a brief period of respite in between the discoveries and the journey. This track is meant to be loopable given that it's background music for the game.
03 - Song of The Forgotten Spirit:
This track serves as part of another transition scene where Ysadora goes through the process of learning the songs of the old world.
04 - The March Towards:
This track is one of the charted tracks that would be played as part of the rhythm game. Ysadora begins to use her knowledge of the songs of the old world to begin fighting the haunting monsters invading her town.
05 - The Blue Beauty On That Day (feat. Hatsune Miku):
This track is also one of the charted tracks that would be played as part of the rhythm game. Ysadora uses her knowledge of her songs to fight the monsters invading the town, and there's back and forth dynamics between Ysadora and the spirit that occupies the instrument. The attached lyrics contained in this song are in a conlang that would be the language of the old world (for the purposes of this rhythm game).
Software:
We used a variety of DAWs, VSTs, and other bits of software to create this. The non-exhaustive list includes: FL Studio, Ableton, Piapro (for Hatsune Miku), Pitchmap, LOVE, Valhalla Room, Valhalla Shimmer, Emergence, Disperser, Kontakt (various libraries), and more.
Process and Inspirations:
Drawing inspiration from both the text and the picture prompt, we use both in shaping and gluing the EP together by way of weaving the story of forgotten worlds into the game and utilizing songs as the medium for the conflict and action within the game.
Message from the artist
We all had fun making this project and we hope you enjoy this as well!
Theme

How does it fit the theme?
We used both the picture theme and text prompt as inspiration. The figures in the picture theme made us think of ancient folklore and fantasy setting in the shading of the picture theme and the elements of anthropomorphization. Additionally, we interpreted the text prompt as an extension of the idea of ancient stories and mythical worldbuilding in wondering and contemplating about the things before that shape the now. We chose to take a darker direction with our rhythm game when it comes to this conflict between Ysadora and the monsters invading her town, gluing the themes presented in the picture theme and text theme by requiring artifacts of the seemingly forgotten world to combat the monsters that seek to destroy what Ysadora holds dear.
