I think about two. Not as many as usual but I only spent around 2-3 hours making this game. Godot for the first time!

Interesting idea. Although I would have like a different approach more.
Maybe instead of keeping the number the same after every bounce. Change it. Maybe the first ball always starts with 1 ( or a random numner) and after every bounce the number increases. This way you have to think about the next balls number. Is 42 a prime? Is 43 a prime?... This way the player is forced to continue to engage with the prime numbers. This way you prime balls would also not be absorbed but be played back like a normal ball.
This would also solve the issue with the player not having enough time when a new random number appears. If the ball goes to my side. I have less than a second sometimes. Feels a bit to random for me.
Great execution!
Ooooh!! I actually really like that idea! It sounds like it could be really interesting. If I feel like it I might just try it out in a Post-Jam version if it works and plays well. Thank you!
Enjoyable, but not too exciting of a concept, though admittedly I'm not sure what you could do to expand upon it.
Really fun game! amazing work and I love the cover image you made for the game. The enemy is really well made too. Hard and challenging yet still remaining fair. One feedback is to probably add a notice for what number is coming out next. Since if the number is prime and goes to your side you don't have much time to react.
Overall really great game and looking forward to more!
Not bad for being a first godot game and also only being done in 2-3 hours!
I like the concept of pong, but you can only hit non-prime numbers with the normal paddle, it adds a bit of strategy to the whole thing
Overall, not bad!
I had fun playing your game and it felt good. I'm awful at math so I missed a few prime numbers ahah.
Would had liked to see a more creative twist to pong besides just pressing the space bar on a prime number.
Good job and keep them coming!
This feels like a huge missed opportunity, there's so much that could've been done with the premise but it's just a pong clone but you get to make it say "PRIME PONG" sometimes. But also it's one of the best pong clones I've played. The ball getting faster feels so good and the ai feels like just the right difficulty.
Yes! I know. I actually had the idea to also have powerups based on hitting even and odd balls in specific ways to stun the enemy paddle or give a turbo to the ball. And I wanted to add particle FX too, alas I had other things to do this weekend so I really had to descope a lot. But thanks for playing my little thing anyway :)
I feel like just having the number change everytime its hit back by the opponent and then prime ponging being a win condition would be a different enough gimmick. That does sound really hard tho, especially if it speeds up. Idk I'm just throwing an idea.
Yeah I toyed with that idea a bit but it got SUPER hard very fast if the number changes on every paddle bounce.
Nice, very clean well presented game. I think it would help the player if the ball was a different blue when the number is prime.
Thanks! Even though it is essentially just a glorified pong clone I really tried to make it look polished.
And yes it would definitely be easier with color differentiation, but then there’s really no calculation needed at all. And then it’s just color based gameplay sort of.
It would become to easy and you wouldn't need the math aspect. So your right.
Very aesthetically pleasing! Pong is a simple yet fun game; great that you pulled your own twist on it. The controls are a bit confusing but as soon as I picked it up, it was enjoyable. Other than that, this is good for your first Godot game.
