Theme incorporation
Sinking ship is the main theme, the player is on board a spaceship that will self-destruct so the player has to escape as fast as they can.
Also the game include the Genre Fusion theme, as it also works as first person shooter so the player have to destroy robots thats move real time on the grid

Doing my final comment of the jam, but I just wanted you to know how much I enjoyed playing this one. The vibe of this game is fantastic. And the feel of the dungeon crawling movement is literally excellent, maybe the best of any dungeon crawling game I've played during one of these jams. It manages to make grid based dungeon crawling feel like some sort of Dead Space fps game. Very, very good in that regard and I could see expanding on this game pretty well.
I did have *some* issues with the combat as it felt like bullets weren't correctly striking enemies where I was aiming or something felt just a bit off. Maybe not the correct kind of combat feedback (for me anyways). I felt like combat was kind of the weak point, though I did really enjoy the different weapons and how they worked. Obviously it's a game jam so no worries though as you got a lot of good stuff done in a little amount of time! Great job!
Thanks you for the feedback. There was bug where projectile was hitting things that should not including enemies projectiles. I need do update when i get chance to
I love this sci-fi dungeon crawler! I liked the idea of the shooter part as well. Players have already written here about QE\AD. I would have preferred the turns in QE.
Even myself i would perfer that. Thanks for playing
So much visual polish! I love the CRT filter and how consistent the UI is with the game graphics. The environments were a tiny bit too dark to my taste, but it adds to the immersion and the feeling of danger. The combat is very snappy and fast paced, as is retrying so it was never frustrating to die. I like that your health regens outside of battle too, compared to having to find medkits. It makes the game more action oriented.
As far as real time entries go, this one is my favorite this year. Great work!
Thanks you , that very nice to hear
The qe and ad swap took some getting used too. The combat worked well also (the fpsish dungeon crawler mix. Just wish I could play it in the browser or via the itch app.
Thank for tying. That something i would like try do one time but i heard unreal dont support it any more
This was quite a poetic one to end on, since it did some of the gameplay stuff I wanted to do, and very well! It took me a while to get through the final gauntlet, but I have several excuses:
Eventually I realize slow and steady wins the race.
And you know what, it was fun getting there even with my troubles. (At least it had checkpoints.)
Great entry!
Thanks for tying out.
The Q/E problem most had and it something i agree with, i wish i changed before it was too late, it bad mistake on my part.
The enemies dont respawn normaly, you most likey come across other robots walking around. they only respawn if you lose as the game as reloading a save.
Video's finished uploading.
Looking back, I think they reset whenever I stepped on the check-point.
Oh yeah that very possiable as i never intended players to go back to it so that could the what wrong. Thanks for pointing that out
This was an interesting one, I liked the combination of dungeon crawler and FPS with System Shock style free-aim shooting.
The weapon variety was neat and felt satisfying enough. I especially liked the addition of the Boomer that could shoot around corners, an interesting tactical choice for these types of games.
I did notice some issues though, for starters it seemed almost like my blaster projectiles were colliding mid-air with enemy projectiles. Because me and a robot would be standing in a hallyway looking directly at each other, firing away and it seemed like impact effects were spawning at some point in between. Neither of us would be taking damage, or at least the robot didn't seem to. Might be something to look into.
There also seemed to be a range limit to projectiles, trying to fire at the 3 elites near the end game from the end of the room wouldn't deal any damage. Don't know if that was intentional or not.
Also the performance for me was just AWFUL. My PC isn't exactly old or low end, so I assume it's just a facet of having an Unreal game and not enough time to optimize. It caused me to turn or move further than I meant to a few times.
Speaking of the movement, I have to echo other comments about Q+E being strafe instead of turn. I think some games have used it in the past, but quite frankly it just does NOT feel good in my opinion. Especially in a game trying to lean into the FPS genre a bit, not having WASD was very disorienting. Combined with the performance issues it lead to me taking a few more hits than I think was warranted.
Back to the positives, I like how the enemies stand out due to the lights on their heads turning from blue to red when aggroed. The chickens clucking when the player is near is a nice way to make finding them easier. And I REALLY appreciate having a checkpoint system in a jam game!
Oh and finally I like that this game sticks to a 10 minute time limit. I know this jam has some entries that can last over an hour so having a short but sweet entry is a nice treat!
Good work!
Fully agree with movement, it was big mistake on my part which i should changed but just did not in the time.
The projectiles are definitely hitting each others, i notice this recently and it be easy one to fix but cannot for now.
This a range limit for the weapons but if feel to short i could make it longer but i added limit to make harder to exploit the AI by attacking it too far away for it to do anything.
Performance is something i wish did had time to sort, turning off lumen and some other settings off might helped but honestly forgot about them.
Thanks for trying and the good feedback, it is very helpful.
I couldn’t make it to the end unfortunately, and I think the game crashed on me on my third attempt at the last gauntlet. The atmosphere was very cool and the shooter mix interesting. It did get too hard for me though. My feeling was that the enemies were re-spawning in the final room? And I had absolutely no chance navigating while being shot at. I’m not sure, but I would wager that 9 out of 10 games I’ve played so far uses QE as turn and AD as strafe (also my own very strong personal preference). While in most crawlers that don’t allow to remap / toggle of keybindings, it becomes a bit annoying, but when pared with real-time shooting it’s quite like playing a game with on extreme hard mode unfortunately.
You’ll see in the playthrough how much I struggle.
The UI could perhaps have been looking a little cooler for health and shield. It wasn’t too bad that they were spread out as I feared, but it could have been nice to have them all next to each other too.
In some cases I feel like collision boxes on enemies were a bit too narrow and also that collision boxes on furniture and such a bit too large. Especially with that time constraint, shooting chickens that were quite well hidden shouldn’t be hindered too much by collisions on shelves and sci-fi gadgets.
Otherwise I really enjoyed playing, and I think the game did great with most things it attempted.

Thanks you for trying out the game and yeah i honeslty made mistake using the QE for strafe and AD for turn, it was bad idea on my part really i should just changed it back when i had chances. The collision problems can be annoying and does make game harder then needed. Glad you tired it and made video, your feedback also helpful and i agree fully with what you said with problems
I survived! I loved the shooter aspect of this! The graphics were awesome and the sinking ship theme was well done. The variety of weapons and enemies kept you on your toes while trying to beat the clock and get off the ship.
Ran into some issues walking up some objects that probably shouldn't have been navigable and sometimes I couldn't shoot the chickens, it seemed the bullets hit some invisible hit boxes or something.
Overall awesome entry with a great take on the fusion and ship sinking!
Gameplay here
Thank you for trying and the feedback. I aware of both of them problems, unfortunately I only found out after submission date so could not update it. The hit box problem is unreal adding a box collision by default so would been easy to fix if i realise sooner.
The video you made is good, help me spot some other mistakes that would need fixing. I did make mistake doing Q and E for left and right movement, should just done the a and d instead, that something else to fix aswell. Thanks for making the video.
Interesting world! I included it in my compilation video series of all of the games from the Dungeon Crawler Jam.
Love the old school Space Hulk vibes. Had some problems though with floors not loading quickly enough and falling through into infinite space.
Thanks for trying. Honestly surprised that happen but i can guess it due to the level streaming somehow not loading fast enough, i did try design the levels so they had time to load but might need edit it to give it more time
Escaped with the score of 3600 and around 2 minutes left.
Atmosphere is really nice, it gives dark, Quake 3 vibes. Music, graphics, audio, weapons, lighting all were done really nice to make this atmosphere work.
Shooter part felt a bit odd at times, when enemies were at 45 degrees angle from you, at these moments I wished for the wider field of view (which would’ve helped with a more classic perspective as well). Dodging enemies bullets and peppering them with shotgun or sending rockets their way felt nice, though a bit awkward due to Q/E being strafes.
Thank you for your feedback, The Fov was set to 120 but might still need be bit higher because the filter i was using. I would have liked key rebinding, Q/E does feel awkard, i made them like that base on other games i have played
Ah, interesting, 120 “should” be enough, but it feels almost like it’s 100 or less. Maybe specifically for the shooter it’s never enough, due to the need to shoot diagonally sometimes? It almost feels like free mouse view will help with that in this particular game when you’re actively shooting, something like holding down right mouse button to unlock the camera might be a good alternative (it’s allowed by rules afaik).
I think it is my filter why it is more like 100, it squishes the screen in. The feedback good and that sound like good idea, i would have liked to add that which i might add that after the jam finished and I will alter the fov so it easier to see
Took me some tries to figure out how to play, but it became a FPS shooter game, but the combat was fun.
I did make it out but the time ran out at about the same time, but it counted as a win.
Fun game!
Thanks you, I did intend the game to be hybird between a FPS and Dungeon Crawler so it worked for the genre fushion theme. That time also crazy , very close call
This is a good one!
Had a lot of fun and found one chicken. Really nice to see another SciFi crawler and this is well done and very polished.
Did not encounter any obvious bug, the only thing is that I could kill some robots from the side without them shooting back, not sure if that is intentional though.
Definatly exceeds my expectations for a 9 day jam!
Good job!
Just a final note: This does not run well on an iGPU I got around 20 FPS on an Notebook with an Iris XE thanks to Lumen.
Thank you glad you enjoyed it and ah i should disabled lumen i forgot this time as i normaly turn that off. If i had more time i would like to added settings to allow it run better on other devices
"ESCAPED" I scored 2,230 points, found only one chicken :/ .
The game is very fun. Perspective, controls and movement are perfect and the gunplay is super satisfying. The different weapons felt different (I mostly used the Rocket), I thought the robots proposed an appropriate threat and 10:00 felt right too.
Cool one!
Thank you, glad you enjoyed the game and the chickens in sneaky location such there was one right near the starting point
This was a lot more enjoyable than I thought it would be. The gunplay was super satisfying, the music was on point, gun variety was nice, the checkpoint system made it not be tedious when you inevitably die. Escaped with about 3 minutes to spare, which was great. Found a couple of chickens too.
On the downsides, the movement/turning was a bit sluggish, but the enemies weren't too fast either, so it worked out. But faster turn speed would've been great.
Thank you so much for your feedback, glad you enjoyed it and yeah that make sense, i could added a speed counter setting so people can set their own speeds
