One of my favorites of the jam! The idea and the gameplay is really fun, I had a tiny bit of struggle to find the animals but that could be only a me issue. I think you accomplished a lot in just 3 days
Thank you for your feedback! Some of the animals are meant to be a little tricky to find to make the gameplay more varied : D Thanks for playing!
that was quite cute! i love how the house and butterfly's look and the gramps has hella swag
I absolutely love the vibe, the cute art style, the cozy music, the little critters and some really nice personalities on the charcters all blend so well! I do wish there were more things to do a little cuz I can definitely see this being a lot bigger of an adventure but I love what you've presented so far!
Thank for the feedback ^_^ and we are glad you enjoyed it! <3. We are making a more rounded/polished version for after the jam which should have all additional 11 animals from the final screenshot that we've uploaded ^^.
Super cute! I love the frame story, it immediately made me more dedicated to the task. The character designs are really cute too! Overall it had a really nice nostalgic vibe to it. A really relaxing experience :D
That's wonderful feedback thank you, <3. Very glad you enjoy it!
I snapped the red kite on my second try! The way the mole pops out is cute! I think it would be great if the game showed more hints at the edges of photo zones, because I had a little bit hard time triggering the camera view. But it's only a very minor problem. The idea of this game is really cool. For a 3-day jam, your team really got a lot done! Congrats!
pretty good game. had a lot of fun exploring the area and taking pictures of spring animals, even caught the red kite which took me a while in the meadows. wished the game was clearer about when can you take pictures though. had to go through a lot of trial and error to know it activates while you're moving. also wished they were music when you're taking a picture because without it it just brings a very empty tone/feeling. even though the graphics were not that great, it's also very charming in a way. also how did you guys end up using microsoft paint when you got krita and asesprite? and one thing I really wish is being able to see my album full because when you complete it it immediately teleports you to the end without giving you a chance to see your hard work. please, I want to see my red kite photo :(
overall I had a good time and it was very cozy, definitely 5 stars for cozy spring vibes
Well done for getting the red kite! Also thank you for the very constructive feedback - thankfully none of the points you've raised are a surprise and they are all things we ran out of time to address during the jam but are going to improve post-jam.
Paint I find to be a very useful tool for super-quick, mid-discussion illustration to help you storyboard and explain your ideas with your co-developers; I would rarely use it to produce an asset for the game.
As mentioned above, we will be putting in an album-review moment before the game end triggers, but if you really want to get a picture of the red kite to see, you could go back and do the meadows first (post-pickups of course). Feel free to share the screen shot in a comment if you do, we'd love to see it!
you make a good point that paint is very useful to sketch due to its non-heavy nature due to how small the program is (and I admit I thought some of the assets were made with paint, sorry). and I want to suggest a popup that tells the player to go back to grandpa cause I would love to end the game by going back to grandpa's house because you start by going out from grandpa's house
Yeah agreed ^_^. And no problem re. the paint stuff - I'm glad someone read all the way down to the bottom of my description enough to be interested enough in what tools we used!
it's not a problem. I always read the full description of the games I played in this jam. I enjoy knowing the additional stuff like the credits, programs used, etc.
Snap 'em all ! That ending made me laugh, and the whole vibe felt really cozy, nice job :)
Very cozy game! I love the fact that you can find upgrades for the camera. Would have loved an anti-blur upgrade, too. :D Love the various biomes, whre you can find different animals. Overall I had fun playing it & the music made it even cozier. :)
Excellent! Thank you for the kind review ^_^ I will pass the compliments to our musician ^^.
The blur is 100% because Ken is only 5 so he's not very good at focusing the lens on some creatures 😛 (definitely not an artifact of godot sub-viewers that we couldnt fix in the timr available). If we do a sequel (Flutterby Shutter - Ken's Teenage Years) I'm sure he'll be far more adept with focus by then 😅
Thanks again <3
Very cool mechanic with the pictures. But sad that some of them turned out blurry.
Yeah, we found that early on and I think it's down to something in how Godot handles subviewports for scaled sprites.
We leaned into it and figured he's a 5 year old with a Polaroid, so the pictures may not be the best 😂
This game is so good and very cozy!
Thank you so much! We are glad you liked it ^_^
It was fun to quick snap pictures of the different animals!
This is really impressive! Great work!
Hee-Ho. Cool idea, good game
Perfect entry for the jam, a very cute game!
Lovely and really fun experience! Couldn't find that pesky red kite though! (Although English is not my first language, so I thought I was looking for an ACTUAL red kite like the toy LOL) One of my favorites in the entire jam :)
aha! We didn't think of that! And I never would've guessed it wasn't your first language. Thanks again for playing, so glad you liked it <3
Little ken was able to take all the photos for his granddad x)
I really enjoyed the game, well done!
We love little Ken ^^ even if he thinks TV is better -_-. Glad you enjoyed it! <3
Such a lovely story, i bet it was someone's life experience or a dream. Nice art work and music. I have completed it, ending is quite funny, i guess we all did that in some way)
Thank you so much for the comment ^_^ and well done on completing it! Glad you liked it.
I loved ken's faces at the beginning I will die for that kid. The gameplay was fun, I was doing a lot of the pokemon wiggle trying to find the photo spots but I couldn't find the bird anywhere! I swear I've checked everywhere, that dang bird haha
great art and vibes, solid photo mechanic it was fun
There is a little advice in the description now to help you nail down the elusive bird 😛 be prepared when you do find it, it's slippery!

I like the slow calm music of the intro, very peaceful. The premise is cute hehe. I like the walking sound effect. I was a bit confused why certain areas were photography spots (indicator was not clear to me?) which was a bit hard for me to figure out where I hadn’t checked yet. The concept of the camera was executed well and I enjoyed going around collecting photos! I liked the animals doing funny behaviors for the shot those were super cute hehe. Sadly I couldn’t seem to find the deer despite going around the whole area like 4 times. The game has cozy atmosphere and pleasant music. Overall great job!
Thank you for the detailed feedback! We were hoping to add in some navigation information and indicators but sadly ran out of time... we have updated the description with some advice which may help you find the rare deer ^_^.
